The grown ups are having a conversation. The prerequisites to participating in this conversation are you must know the definition of the word "truth." You're not qualified to participate. Go sit at the kids' table.

Sure thing, Lloyd. Better yet, maybe you should go back to teh zone where fags are free roam unsupervised.

Well, "realism" would suggest that you take it for what it is. A loss by your favorite team playing a game. It is not life or death. There's no need to get all manic.

I'd love to see a forum where people could discuss the positives and negatives of the team after wins and losses alike, without making ridiculous statements that they know certain people on the team will never take us to a super bowl and crying that they're not gonna watch the team or cheer for them anymore.

That's why you see people in here "defending" the team. This team is a work in progress. It's not at its peak. Will we win it all in the next few years, I don't know. But it's sure gonna be sweeter to watch them win it, if you were the type of fan who stuck around after the hard losses.

I get it, you're a better fan than me and once we win the Super Bowl again you will be rewarded better than I will. Congratulations.

I remember when losses used to get me all emotional.

Those were the days.

Anyone like watching scrubs like flacco and sanchez shit the bed but their teams win anyway?

I love having a stud like tony back there. Otherwise who knows how bad we'd be?

lol

Well, with Jerry auditioning baseball pitchers you could have a point. But there are other ways to find a QB than the undrafted lists.

I didn't read this entire thread. I stopped after peplaw and theebs called me a fake fan.

I'm sure there's an apology hidden somewhere in one of the posts I didn't read. For their health, I hope that to be the case.

I'm a Cowboys fan. Always have been. If I didn't jump off the bandwagon 1999-2002, then it's a good indicator I'm not going to.

In fact, dbair notwithstanding, I've probably been the boards biggest homer the fourteen years (aproximately) this forum has been in existance.

Romo is a talented QB. But there's something wrong with him.

He's been in the league for a number of years, on the same team, with the same offensive system for most of that time.

Yet he has these mental melt downs that are unlike anything I've ever seen. These ridiculous mistakes in critical times. He does it time and time again over the years.

It defy's explaination.

I might say some things after a collosal melt down that might be a little over the top/heat of the moment.

But I honestly have completely lost faith in #9.

If that makes me a fake fan, then so be it.

To be clear, I called you a quitter not a faker....No doubt your a fan but teams need there fans when they are down more then when they are up....especially this franchise.

Dont be like the giants fans in 07 after manning threw 4 picks and cost the giants a game they should have won vs minnesota and burned his jersey in the parking lot.....a few months later they must have felt like assholes.

No doubt romo has warts but we all know this...Without him we dont have a 27-3 lead. Why he would throw that pick that carpenter caught I have no idea never will, the other two I at least understand they are plays that always work and will again in the future....they just didnt yesterday.

When does Garrett oull the trigger and benches Romo, if it happens again, which it will? I can see Romo coming out and having a career game against the Patriots, and then everything will be forgiven and forgotten... right until he does it again. It seems that Romo is having more and more of these types of games, and it'sa to the detriment of the team. How long before he loses the team? The players have to be tired of this. They may publicly support Romo, just to save face, but what are they saying when the cameras and reporter are not around? This all has to be disheartening.

It's getting to the point that I may not even bother to watch the games, because no matter how insurmountable a lead may appear to be, you can't get excited over it, because you know that no lead is safe with Romo. And what kind of fun is that, in which you can't get excited with your team significantly ahead, because you fell a letdown looming, and it may not even happen?

Here's a thought. If we ever get a sizeable lead like that again, then just go ahead and bench Romo. It's a face-saving move for everyone. It'll be, "well we have the lead, and we saw an opportunity to get our other QBs some work in, primarily McGee. And we don't want to needlessly put Romo at risk for an injury", or some other bs.

LOL. With him we lose the 27-3 lead---that's cancles that, so what's the point? That's a poor attempt in trying to defend Romo.

You think that'll save your life?

This franchise needs tough love. If they want coddling, tell them to go sit in Jerry's office.

I gave serious consideration to burning my Romo jersey yesterday afternoon. No shit.

Without him we dont have a 27-3 lead.

I'm not saying we'd be a better team TODAY without Romo.

But I do believe that Romo just doesn't have it in him to be relied upon or to win a championship.

I'm wrong about a lot. And I'd love to be wrong about this. Don't think I am, though.

I'd like to burn Romo's jersey... especially with him in it.

I went back and looked at the two pick sixes on the DVR. On the first one, Romo locked onto Dez Bryant the whole way. John Phillips was wide open in the middle of the field for a good 6 yard gain. Romo never looked anywhere else despite Carpenter dropping into coverage and Bryant being well covered by the DB. Horrible decision.

On the second one, it looked like it was supposed to be a slant to Robinson, but Robinson got jammed and failed to win against the DB. Romo should have recognized that.

I don't know if Romo gets too confident when things go well early or what, but both of those pick sixes were definitely his fault, not the receivers'. He can't seem to play from ahead, only from behind. I love Romo's skills but his mental game is very inconsistent. Rob Ryan should be really hot about this one. Yeah, his D made a few mistakes, but you can't keep a good offense like the Lions down the whole game. The D played well enough to win. If Garrett doesn't get Romo under control and learn to run the ball when they have a big lead and trust the D, there's going to be a division in the locker room soon.

Someone was on M&M this morning talking about Romo and said this...

Romo will see a coverage on a throw early in the game, and just expect it to be there later in the game when he goes back. Said it's essentially what happened on that Jets interception - had success on same playcall early in the game, and anticipated it'd be there late in the game. And it's what happened to the Dez interception and the Witten interception yesterday.

Romo doesn't recognize when the defenses make adjustments.

Same guy said that that Robinson interception was a great play by the DB, and that Robinson needed to help Romo out more on that play.

Take from that what you will.
