Well, "realism" would suggest that you take it for what it is. A loss by your favorite team playing a game. It is not life or death. There's no need to get all manic.
I'd love to see a forum where people could discuss the positives and negatives of the team after wins and losses alike, without making ridiculous statements that they know certain people on the team will never take us to a super bowl and crying that they're not gonna watch the team or cheer for them anymore.
That's why you see people in here "defending" the team. This team is a work in progress. It's not at its peak. Will we win it all in the next few years, I don't know. But it's sure gonna be sweeter to watch them win it, if you were the type of fan who stuck around after the hard losses.
Yeah that's pretty much it.
Not to mention some other important elements of the game, like with sensebaugh in the game the middle of the field and Johnson deep was shut down, as soon as he went out they beat us on a play to pettigrew and then proceeded to throw in church's vicinity nearly every play....he made one play the whole second half and was a problem.
Also not having the pass rush late that hatcher has provided showed up...he was a big loss today.
That is why I see this as a good team coming out of the bye, even if we lose to new england where they have won like 30 straight games.....when healthy we now know this is a good team...
Order of importance to me right now is winning the division and winning at home....today's loss could hurt down the line because of tie breakers but at the start of the game Monday given the condition of our team 2-2 is what I was hoping for.....
If we can go 6-2 at home and win our divisional games we will be okay...tough one to lose today though....
