based on what?

Well theebs, he did look to grow his hair out when he was at the Nike event.

Litte longer hair is clearly indicative of post-prime behavior.

As for TE, this team had better not think of taking one before the 4th round.

I can see it now, Dontari Poe at #14 and a TE at #45.

Worst fucking wish & pray case scenario ever.

Dallas should be thankful they have Witten.

The Jets signed that Rugby player I wanted. Watch him be a beast TE now.

He doesn't seem to move around as well anymore. He's not as quick.

he has made some big plays over the past two years....

people forget he also had injured ribs last year and has fought injuries the past 3 years....he just never comes out of the god damn game because he is built out of steel.

I dont see the slippage yet....its coming for sure but I really dont see it yet. He has seemingly lost a step from those first few seasons, but since 08 or so I think he has been the same.

I dont think they would take a tight end in the second this year. You always seem to rag on them for that, but you have to remember we were going to take greg jennings in 06 and the packers took him right in front of us and in 05 brett pierce and dan campbell were hurt and now gone......we needed a tight end pretty bad in april of 06.

as far as bennett Its a little different, garrett wanted a specific player and apparently bennett was that kind of guy size wise and they thought he would be a big time playmaker....kind of like this year 2nd tight end or 3rd wr...

but having said that I dont think that will happen this year again unless we move back and pick up an extra 3 or 4...

Because having a #2 who is a world beater is basically a luxury.

They took Fasano and that was a move I didn't really care for but could accept to a certain extent. Then they traded him and took Bennett and at this point I'll be fucking livid if they use another pick on a #2 TE.

It's unnecessary.

This is an awful draft for TE's as well so unless a guy slips to them who has a full round higher value , I think it's a mistake to draft a TE before Saturday (rounds 4 thru 7).

I thought you drafted the player, not the position :confused

With the 45th selection in the 2012 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys select...TE

I'm still livid over that move. Homers just kinda ignored it, but that was clearly Jerry's coming out party to celebrate the Parcells departure.

"Gonna do stupid ass shit again now that there's no one here to stop me. I'm back!"

Just taking a tight end in the 2nd was ridiculous but 100 times more being that it was that ******.

I'm just not seeing much that would be available on Saturday that would be much of an upgrade. You might find a guy who could serve as the 3rd TE and maybe help with run blocking (like the Bryan kid from NC State) but if the goal is to get a legit #2 and somebody that could assume the starting TE role if something happened to Witten, there's nada past the top-3

As much as we use 2 TE sets, having a quality 2nd one isnt a "luxury" as someone said, its really more of a necessity.

Having a world beater at #2 is a luxury.

They barely even utilized 2TEs last year as a true 2 TE set. Bennett was basically a 6th OL. He went out on passing routes very rarely.

Get a guy who can block and call it a wash.

Dallas should go away from 2TEs anyway. Get 3WRs out there........provided they can find a capable #3 I suppose.

He had Tony Romo throwing to him. I think any WR with half a brain can be productive with Romo as their QB. I didn’t see anything special about him other than he took advantage of his opportunities. Let’s see what he does in Jax.

How he does in JAX is irrelevant. What he did in Dallas was show that he could fill the role very well and be a solid #2 if needed.

Obviously he'll probably suck in JAX because they don't have a QB to start with.

Until some other random comes out of the woodwork and produces like he does, the idea that any WR can do it with Romo is pretty baseless.

Ogletree certainly couldn't.

Stupid Cavalier. What we need is a Hokie receiver.

Far too many holes to burn a 2nd rounder on a #2 TE. The Giants went with UDFA Ballard after letting Boss walk, and it turned out just fine.

Ginger is retarded, but hopefully someone in that war room understands that fantasy football rosters don't win super bowls.

Agreed 100%. I think Phillips could very well fill that role. He was injured and will be back 100% at the start of this next season. There is absolutely no need to draft one high.

That would an absolute retarded mistake.

It's no surprise you would suggest it.

I see Pittsburgh signed Pope today. I would have liked to have signed him as a #2/#3

I'd still rather load up on talented WRs than TEs.

When you can't run the football because your line is shit, you have to throw the football.

Get another WR that romo can trust. Quit being gay over TEs.
