A TE.

We brought that kid in from Chicago, but he opted to go back to the Bears.

And this is a relatively weak TE class.

Leads me to believe #45 might be a tight end.

I hope he's just like Martellus Bennett - lazy and retarded.

See sig.

I think a TE in the draft is a possibility, we certainly need a legit #2

I still think Phillips has a big role in our offense. With Marty out of the picture he needs to step up.

He's a role player. He's not going to emerge as some go to guy.

Besides, outside of him and Witten, we have no one.

And while Witten is only 29, he's an old 29.

TE is a need.

I know it's a need, but I don't think we go tight end early in the draft. That's all.

Witten and Phillips will be 1 and 2 then whoever we draft will get the rest of the playing time, which isn't much.

i wont be suprised if the first 3 rounds are defense, maybe one offensive lineman and the rest is a wr, te, rb and maybe another offensive tackle somewhere late

Yeah, I can almost garantee we won't draft a tight end in the second round. Maybe the third, but I'm thinking we address it later like in the fifth or sixth rounds.

After the top-3 guys, there really isnt much out there that someone could point to and expect a reasonable contribution this year.

Far too many holes to burn a 2nd rounder on a #2 TE. The Giants went with UDFA Ballard after letting Boss walk, and it turned out just fine.

Ginger is retarded, but hopefully someone in that war room understands that fantasy football rosters don't win super bowls.

TE is not that big of a need. Witten is still in his prime. Phillips is another year healed up. Bennett was a diaper rash. I say pickup a vet along the way. I think the #3 wide receiver position is by far a bigger need that has to be addressed.

thats the issue. We need one or the other...

either a very good 2nd tight end who can play like witten or a good third wr...

right now we are light in both areas..so which is easier finding a 3rd wr or a 2nd tight end. I bet we take both in the draft.

Well, i think you have to promote Phillips to the #2 TE spot. So now you are looking for a #3 TE. I would think the #3 WR would be on the field more often. I would only draft a TE if you had some great value that you couldn’t pass up. I don’t think the Cowboys need to draft high for a WR either. Find another Robinson. They are dime a dozen. I think we have to draft some earth movers.

to be clear, I dont expect a wr or rb to be taken before the 4th round.

and laurent robinson 3rd wr are not a dime a dozen....he was a highly thought of player who couldnt stay healthy....it was a uniqe situation...it sucks he is gone...

I have no faith in holmes, radway or ogletree personally...I think harris has a shot, but I would be shocked if we dont have another wr via the draft or free agency by the time camp starts.

He had Tony Romo throwing to him. I think any WR with half a brain can be productive with Romo as their QB. I didn’t see anything special about him other than he took advantage of his opportunities. Let’s see what he does in Jax.

Robinson has some talent, no doubt. We haven't been able to get similar production out of Ogletree so it's not like any WR3 can be solid here, but I agree that Robinson was still way overrated due to Romo. I think he's replaceable, and def. was not worth the asking price. We have way too many holes to fill.

I did think they'd be using that money on Nicks or Grubbs at the time.

Not sure if Witten is still in his prime. He hasn't been the same these last two seasons IMO.

yeah no question about it...but taking advantage of your opportunities is a pretty huge statement.....

considering what this organization has done in the past decade for wr not having a third wr is a problem again.
