I read somewhere recently that Taiwan exports 60% of the world's electronic chips and 90% of specialized computer chips. The vast majority of circuit boards that are used in computers and components are manufactured in Taiwan. If China takes over Taiwan, they would control the world's market of computer components.
Brandon is ok with that, he has his marching orders

Wagner mercenaries enter Lipetsk region en route to Moscow

The governor of Russia's Lipetsk province said Saturday afternoon that Wagner Group mercenaries had entered the region, some 400 kilometres (250 miles) from Moscow. Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Wagner mercenaries of "treason" in a live address to the nation after the group's chief Yevgeny Prigozhin called for an armed uprising to oust the defense minister on Friday.

The greatest challenge to Russian President Vladimir Putin in his more than two decades in power fizzled out after the rebellious mercenary commander who ordered his troops to march on Moscow abruptly reached a deal with the Kremlin to go into exile and sounded the retreat.

Under the deal announced Saturday by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Prigozhin will go to neighboring Belarus, which has supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Charges against him of mounting an armed rebellion will be dropped.

The government also said it would not prosecute Wagner fighters who took part, while those who did not join in were to be offered contracts by the Defense Ministry. Prigozhin ordered his troops back to their field camps in Ukraine, where they have been fighting alongside Russian regular soldiers.

Shocking to me is how many Americans were rooting for Prigozhin despite the fact he leads a neo-Nazi militia accused of committing atrocities in Ukraine and Africa. This is the kind of irrational thinking that is harming our country.

I'm still failing to understand why the guy did it and then backed down so fast. What exactly did he gain? Did Putin give the guy a bunch of money or something?

UN renews calls for Haiti intervention force

Since April at least 264 gang members have been killed by vigilante groups.

It's so strange to me that the UN wants to step in, in Haiti... now, that vigilantes are dishing out justice to the Haitian gangs. UN: Can't let that example be set. If the common people were able to restore order through vigilantism, then a corrupt Govt. sympathetic to "UN goals" may not able to be installed.

Wonder why the UN doesn't want to step into Mexico
