Ukraine has been making noises about attacking Russia for months now. The US is giving them the weapons to do so. Imagine for example, Russia giving Cuba weapons they could use to launch attacks into the US. We are relying on Putin to use good sense not to retaliate against America. I don't know if he has cancer or not but if he does, do you want to provoke him at this time when he may not give a damn what happens next?

We have a senile idiot in the White House. He is going to get us into a war with Russia or Iran.

Do people realize the the US strategy is to give the Ukrainians enough weapons to fight Putin to a stalemate, a prolonged war like they fought in Afghanistan? There are no peace talks. Biden has not met with Putin to find out what he wants or what it would take to end the hostilities. We just pour more and more money and weaponry into Ukraine. Why? Every day civilians are dying. Biden making this happen. We have to stop this 1960s cold war foreign policy. We need to get to a table somewhere and hold talks. Then again, I am not sure what is worse, what Biden is doing or putting him in front of Putin for talks.

General Douglas MacArthur ordered the censorship of all news reports concerning the Korean War, with his office to provide official clearance before news reports, magazine articles, photographs and films, or broadcasts could be released to the world press.[109] Prohibited news included any criticism of the American and United Nations soldiers and commanders, or their handling of the war, and all correspondents were put under the jurisdiction of the United States Army, with punishments for violation of the order ranging from suspension of privileges, to trial by court martial. United Press reporter Peter Webb was one of the first to be punished, after failing to clear a report about the death of General Walker with MacArthur's headquarters; he was detained for 18 hours before being released. The Daily Dispatch of London would comment that the only thing that could officially be said about the United Nations troops was that they were in Korea.[110] Wiki

After the Joint Chiefs of Staff had instructed him not to take the offensive in Korea, General MacArthur made a four-point counter-proposal to take the war to the People's Republic of China. He requested authority to "(1) blockade the coast of China; (2) destroy, through naval gunfire and air bombardment, China's industrial capacity to wage war; (3) secure reinforcements from the Nationalist garrison on Formosa [Taiwan] to strengthen our position in Korea if we decide to continue the fight for that peninsula; and (4) release existing restrictions on the Formosan garrison for diversionary action, possibly leading to counter invasions against vulnerable areas of the Chinese mainland." The Chiefs rejected the suggestions as unreasonable, and began to bypass MacArthur's command by sending orders directly to his subordinates.[155] Wiki

Over 30 peacekeepers deployed in a NATO-led mission in Kosovo were injured Monday in clashes with Serb protesters who demanded the removal of recently elected ethnic Albanian mayors, as tensions flare in the Balkan nation.

Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008, and Belgrade and its key allies Russia and China have refused to recognise it, effectively preventing Kosovo from having a seat at the United Nations.

Serbs in Kosovo remained largely loyal to Belgrade, especially in the north, where they make up a majority and reject every move by Pristina to consolidate its control over the region.

Belgrade responded by placing its army on high alert and ordered forces towards the Serbian border with Kosovo.

Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking on a visit to Kenya, said that "Serbs are fighting for their rights in northern Kosovo".

"A big explosion is looming in the heart of Europe, where NATO in 1999 carried out an aggression against Yugoslavia," Lavrov said, referring to the 1999 NATO intervention against Belgrade that effectively ended the war between Serb forces and ethnic Albanian guerrillas.

The world has gone mad. It is a little like the 1930s only we have a rainbow coalition in the military instead of the greatest generation.

I wonder if this uprising in Kosovo has anything to do with the situation in Ukraine. It would not be beneath Russia to stir up trouble in Europe in retaliation for NATO support for Ukraine.

“We don’t tell them where to strike. We don’t tell them where not to strike. ... Ultimately President Zelenskyy and his military commanders decide what they’re going to do from a military perspective,” White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Wednesday.

Including the latest aid, the U.S. has committed more than $37.6 billion in weapons and other equipment to Ukraine since Russia attacked on Feb. 24, 2022. This latest package will be done under presidential drawdown authority, which allows the Pentagon to take weapons from its own stocks and quickly ship them to Ukraine, officials said.

Yeah sure...what's another 2 billion?

The extortion of a corrupt Communist running our country continues.

Biden is paying blackmail to Ukraine because they have the goods on him. It turns out his pay for play scheme is going to be uncovered by congress anyway.

Just a reminder that when the Nazis took over Ukraine in WWII the people considered it a liberation. They sided with Hitler. Their young men marched off to war against Russia and Stalin, while everyone else at home helped the Nazis round up and exterminate Ukrainian Jews. The battles between Russia and Ukraine is not new. It is a very very old squabble and we should stay out of it.

The Cold War mentality of the '60s needs to come to an end.
