Hard to complain about the game plans when even his own teammates on defense were the ones complaining about all the run calls he changed to passes.

I guess you could say he got a change of scenery with CBS and now even they are complaining about the same things. That he is completely unprepared for game days and doesn't know basic shit about the teams he is covering.

He made something of himself from nothing (UDFA) and became a quality NFL player spo he should be commended for that, but he was never THAT good and I think really great coaches like Jimmy Johnson or Belichick (and probably even Parcells had he not gotten old and burned out and stayed awhile) would have replaced him pretty quick. Hell if he had pulled that Cabo shit on Jimmy I have zero doubt his ass would have been gone as soon as the offseason started. Jimmy would have shipped him to some team in Siberia or something
i dont know what romo's habits were in college (or even early on w/ parcells) but as an UDFA you cant do "just enough to get by" and get noticed.. so he had to have some good habits and talent to separate himself,,, then sure, he is later dubbed the golden child and jerry's favorite son. drugs, hookers, and bad habits are sure to follow.

Good grief, we're litigating Romo again - and in the Dak litigation thread? Might as well throw Danny White in with them - they're all the same fail chokers.

But - IF Parcells thought he had his QB1 in Romo, he doesn't retire just when he had most of the hay in the barn. I think he was told Romo's the guy period, and Bill just said okay bye. Got a nice fat goodbye check took a couple years off and then took the VP job at Miami. He wasn't burned out, but he knew Romo would burn him out.

Landry wanted to move off Danny as early as off-season 82 and in fact they wanted to trade him to Baltimore to get Elway. It's well documented.

They're all three, the same damn thing.

At least White got a team to 3 straight NFC Championship games and in the 1981 game against San Fran most don't remember he actually outplayed Montana that day. The Niners had 6 turnovers (3 picks and a fumble by Montana). It's still hard to see how e lost that day. The Niners also had over 100 yds in penalties.

I'm not much of a Danny White fan, but he did get this team farther than Romo or Prescott ever did.

White inherited an intact Super Bowl team. Landry wanted to move on from him quite quickly.

We lost that SF game because White choked, fumbled our last chance away. That's the trademark of the choker such as him and Romo - shit the bed when there's no way to make up for it.

Wrong. Money hasn't been the sticking point. Jerry's checkbook is wide open for him. The issue was and is, the legnth of the contract. Jerry wants 5-plus, Dak's camp wants 4 max. Because they want Dak to have that one extra big money payday after the one that's coming soon.

Welcome to DCU by the way.
Isn't that money?

If I want to pay you 5 bucks over 5 years, but you want 6 bucks over 6 years, or 7 bucks over 10, isn't that still about the money? It's always about the money. Time is simply a way to manage the money.

While I was unaware of this, I still have a hard time discussing Dak in the same talent level sentence as Manning or Brees. Even if the 2 of them had led the league in picks every year.

Just me I know, lol.

It's a disingenuous stat. Go look at the overall stats. Some of these stats need context but I still give the Dak defenders credit for thinking outside the box. I guess it makes them feel better and gives them hope.

This is the problem....Dak's stupidity and lack of confidence in his arm gets his HC thrown in the same sentence. That was all Dak. He's a coach killer...........
Did Prescott do it on his own or did they end up saying Moore called that play?

I thought they said it was designed to go a certain yardage and then get down to spike it, and Prescott fucked it up by running further downfield. I could be wrong but I thought I remember reading that.

But I agree with you on your overall point, Prescott's decision making is poor (and slow) but that's what happens when you spend all night on the ganja.

Really disappointed in Troy, who has a reputation as a straight shooter. He has to know Dak isn't the guy by this point.

Troy said Dak knows the standard in Dallas is Super Bowls, even though he doesn't have that kind of ability and we haven't sniffed that game in 25 years.
