We got extremely lucky that Laurent Robinson ended up being better than Crayton. We haven't been so lucky on the O-line after all those cuts. I'd be cautious about canning a whole bunch of players unless we're sure there are decent options out there. I like a guy like Holland who worked his ass off to get in shape and become a better player. There has to be guys like that out there on D.

Peplaw, do you drive around in your car with a Dallas Cowboys postcard taped to your car's visor and look at it whenever you are feeling down?

Entire post is spot on.

You watch the secondary play, and it begs the question... would the Cowboys have been better off trading up for Peterson?

Ware and Lee are givens. Ratliff maybe has two years left in him. Spears, Hacher, Scandrick and Sensabaugh were just re-signed, so they're not going anywhere. And Jenkins has won me over with his heart and his steady play. He's our best corner.

Every other defender is replaceable. Some are must goes: Brookings, James, Elam, Newman, etc.

I would take Smith over Peterson all day, every day.

I think its easier to find a good corner than a top 10 type OT.

I actually have a print-out of your posts about your love life, work history, criminal background, etc. that I read when I think my life is really bad. Helps me realize it could be so much worse.

No, I would too.

Tackle is a more premium position, and at the risk of jinxing the kid, Smith looks like he's going to be a stud for 10 years. I'd hate to think of the alternative.

It's just that, our secondary is soooo bad.

Jenkins is good, but getting banged up a lot. I think his contract expires in a year or two as well. Newman is beyond done. Scandrick is solid provided he stays in the slot.

As much as I hate to say it, Eli is elite. Rodgers is elite. Bree's is as well. Those are the teams that will be dominating the NFC for the next 3-5 years. We need secondary help to keep up.

I agree. I think CB is where we'll look early in the draft this year. And looking at some of the rankings, there seems to be an abundance of CB's and LB's who will be available in the middle portion of the draft about where we'll likely be selecting.

That's why you need the cowboys to offer you an escape from reality.

Eli is not elite. Don't confuse his success against our putrid secondary that makes him appear to be elite, to him actually being elite. He just so happens to have a very good HC and OC, that are not the same person as opposed to like Romo, who has a young fool that tries to do both. Garrett could be a very good HC if he concentrated solely on that. But he cannot be a good HC AND OC at the same time.

As for our secondary, not saying this would be the end all, but getting rid of Campoo and Maxie-pad would go a long ways in helping to fix our secondary. Were it not for the Cowboys, Campoo would not be working anywhere in the NFL. He's here just to collect a check.

Sadly, there is not much in free agency in either CB or safety. I was watching the Seahahwks game the other night, and saw Kam Chancellor. I wanted so badly for the Cowboys to draft Chancellor, but no... they decided to go with AOA---a whole round earlier. Imagine that. BRILLIANT! Chancellor is having a hell of a good year, even better than Earl Thomas. The Seahawks really set themselves up for years to come with that safety tandem. Chancellor definitely could have helped our secondary.

What the shit are you talking about??

oh... lol

There are different kinds of fans guys. There are optimists and pessimists, homers and chicken littles. There are some in between. I was fucking pissed the past two games at the end. I posted in here about Garrett and Ryan blowing two wins. I was pretty pessimistic last night. But I have too much to stress about to be dreading Sundays. I look forward every week to watching the Boys suit up, probably because it's an escape from real life.

And you miserable fucks aren't gonna take that away from me, no matter how "CZ" you think I am.

Oh I don't know...this pathetic plea for me to leave your precious Cowboys alone.

I should have started this thread immediately following the game before your therapist had a chance to offer you your weekly dose of sedatives on Monday.
