What would make this draft a loss for you?

Please don't tell me my opinion.

If I ran the Cowboys and the Titans called me up with pick 8 on the clock and offered to swap picks for a 2028 7th or they were gonna make a deal with another team that wants Peterson, I'd tell them to F off.

If I wouldn't use the 9th overall pick on Peterson, I certainly wouldn't package picks for him.

I'll be grading this draft class an F if it starts that way.

I doubt they'd move up one pick to get him. Honestly I doubt they'd move up to get him at all.

That said, if he is unquestionably the #1 player on their draft board and they have a chance to get that type of guy with the 6th or 7th pick overall, for a marginal cost it isnt a bad idea. But he's gotta end up being really good to warrant the pick.

Like you, I really dont want a CB with that high of a pick, nor do I think the need is that critical.
