The media seems higher on the Cowboys than the fans this year.
I think Vegas is as well.
I mean, we're traveling to NY, on 911
I expect the same primary core of players who have lead the team to two division titles in the past four years to win the division again.
I expect an offense that puts up close to 30 points per game.
I expect an aggressive and versatile defense unlike any we've seen in years.
I expect a well prepared team that executes well.
I expect the most enjoyable season since 2007, but with better post season success.
That's funny, I expect the same primary core of players who lead the team to a 1-7 start to be unsuccessful in making the playoffs again.
A lot of bums/wastes of spaces from that squad are gone though.
And were replaced with?

Yeah that makes plenty of sense base everything on a sample size of 8 games instead of the previous 3 years of having a winning record.
How can you go wrong with that.
My heart says 6-10 but my brain and superior sports IQ says 5-11
It is called following the trend. 2007 was our banner year and the team has regressed since then. We had a nice rebound season in 2009 but that is all it was. I expect another rebound to get us closer to .500 but I see nothing so far that makes me think we are back to the level we were in '07.
The trend was going 5-3 the second half of the season, the trend is bouncing back from disappointing seasons and winning the division 2008 (9-7) 2009 (11-5).
Nobody said anything about bouncing back to 13-3 just that basing judgement only on this team going 1-7 at the beginning of the last season is stupid.
I'd like to see a running game of some sort. I'm tired of watching draws and delays because the line is too weak to open up holes. Sick of having to be tricky in the run game. Just line up and push the other team back for a change.
I'm hoping Romo can have a respectable season, maybe 20-25 TDs with less than 12 ints. I'm worried we've seen his best.
Felix needs to take the opportunity he has as the lead back and not be so quick to want to share the load.
I don't care if the defense is shit early on. I just want to see steady improvement, not peaks and valleys all year long.
As far as wins and losses, I expect to be one of those teams that lose 8 games by a combined score of less than 20 points. Just a lot of close losses where the offense does as much as it possibly can only to see game ending drives by the other team.
I'd call an 8-8 season a monumental success. Especially if you consider last years defense being the worst in team history, then you look up and see Abram Elam is the only new piece. Recipe for success.
How stupid are you? You try to admonish me for "basing my judgement on 1-7" (which I never did nor say I did) while throwing out that "the trend was going 5-3." You are reading my comments subjectively because you do not like what I have to say. The defense has been on the decline since 2007, especially the pass defense. The offensive line has been on the decline as well. Those are the trends. We have made major changes to both units, but while this team will be different from last year, I haven't seen much to make me believe it will be better.
While we are at it, try getting your facts straight. We didn't bounce back in 2008 and didn't win the division either. We were 8-4 going into December and blew a chance at the playoffs. We actually started the season well before Romo went down and Johnson came in.
