They should. Getting what you pay for now beats the hell out of getting nothing with dead money.

You'd have to manage it appropriately but it would get you to the wash point quicker, you'd likely have to guarantee less as a bonus, and in the event the guy stays healthy and productive you're getting a fucking steal.

It'd be tough to make it work for a year or two if Dallas were to switch but imagine being able to cut bait a season or two earlier with less dead money.
