This guy can't stay out of the spotlight...

George Zimmerman, who has been in hiding since he was acquitted on second degree murder, emerged from hiding to rescue someone trapped in an overturned truck.


UPDATED: Zimmerman rescued a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. (When is he going to learn to stay in his car? Ha!) Sanford Police Department Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News that Zimmerman "pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over" at the intersection of a Florida highway last week. Florida Highway Patrol is now handling the case, McAuliffe said.

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route 417.

Okay, since Jon shared his near death expierence at a stop light with a pedestrian where gunplay was narrowly averted, I have decided to submit mine for a similar judgement by the Internet.

My house backs up a city ponding basin, one that is closed to people. I heard a guy telling a story behind my back fence. So I hollared out, hows it going. They went quiet, and after I asked them a few times how there night was going, and what they were doing out there, they stayed silent. I went inside and loaded my rifle (pistol and shotgun recently stolen) waited 5 minutes and went back out. There was 2 guys talking, so I went to where I could see them over the fence, said hi, asked them to leave, twice before they responded. One asked why, and I told him I do not want people hanging out behind my back fence and I would appreciate if they would move.

Now, if they would have climbed over that fence, I would have gone inside and got that gun. So, better or worse then jon attempting to shoot someone for mean mugging.

And the best I could tell in the dark was 17, 6'3", 160, and black. The other guy was shorter stockier and didn't talk so I don't know, but I will say 6'0" 190

It wasn't just mean mugging. He walked past my truck, stopped, then walked towards my door. Then he froze and turned around and continued walking.
