Regarding the weapons, Washington has good TE's. Gaffney is serviceable. The free agent wide receiving corps is solid. And more importantly, you'll likely have your chance at any receiver (maybe not Blackmon) with that #6 pick in the draft.

This is the most underwhelming case for they have weapons that I have ever seen. It's a bunch of bums and starters who wouldn't even get on other teams PS's. There's noone even in Wayne/Clark/Garcon's hemisphere.

Gaffneys been in the league a while. Serviceable. Hell, he looked very good against us.

Hankerson was a well regarded prospect in the past draft.

And like I said, the free agent WR corps is impressive, and you can have your virtual pick of the litter at #6.

All that notwithstanding, I'd absolutely make this move if Peyton was healthy and I was the Redskins GM.

Right so the best thing we can say about any of their weapons is that they are servicable. Manning would make them better but they're still a talentless pile of crap. Even with a QB last year they don't sniff a winning record.

I disagree.

They would've beaten us twice, so that's 8-8 right there.

I'm sure a quality QB could've squeezed another win somewhere.

maybe that QB would have lost to the Giants twice. We own Peyton Manning. Don't look at things so linear-ly. It's a team full of no-talent bums.

The team full of no talent bums too us to the wire twice. A real QB would've made a difference.

Agree to disagree.

lol linear thinking. I guess we really were just a player away from the super bowl then. Shoulda gotten Nnamdi.

we already have a QB and we're a much more talented and better team than Washington so using your linear thinking

yeah

Not one of your better efforts, sp. Might as well have gone with the "no u" responses.

maybe with a corner or safety we hold on to beat Detroit instead of watching Barry Church and co. fall at CJ's feet, maybe we also beat New England and New York the first time, making our week 17 matchup meaningless. Then we go on an epic run as SB champions.

Makes alot more sense than your "the talentless Redskins are a QB away from being contenders." Jabar Gaffney as "serviceable"? Gimme a break.

I've stated in a previous thread that yeah, had we signed Nmandi, I think we would've won the division.

In your opinion. Like I said, agree to disagree.

The "no talent hack" Redskins won 6 games this year - with horrid QB play.

With that horrid QB play, they nearly beat us twice. We won because of a miraculous 3rd and 23 conversion in one game, and a missed Redskins field goal in overtime in the second game.

Grossman was benched because of a four interception outing vs the Eagles. Despite those four picks, they only lost by 7.

They lost the following three games Beck started largely because of Beck's complete and utter incompetance.

QB was far and away the Redskins most glaring need.

They had a solid defense. And the run game was strong despite the lack of a threat in the pass game.

If the notion that them having a quality starting QB from contending for the NFC East in a year when the winner was a mere 9-7, and the Eagles were in it until week 15 despite a what, 4-8 start to the season.... if that notion is too far-fetched for you, then I don't know what to tell you.

Again, agree to disagree.

Because they're terrible. They lucked into the six wins they got I don't know how they won one. That roster is pathetic.

Oh, and yeah, Gaffney is serviceable.

70 receptions and 950 yards, despite no other receiving threat opposite of him.

All Pro? Nope.

Serviceable? Yes.

My original comment was that I thought the Redskins would've won the division had they a really for real NFL QB. And I stand by that.

Regarding the older/injured comments, yeah.... but I'd assume he'd pass a physical to play. If Manning is broke, then no, he won't help them.

Regarding the weapons, Washington has good TE's. Gaffney is serviceable. The free agent wide receiving corps is solid.

They have a good TE---singular, not plural. Davis is a stud. Cooley is done. Word is, that he's on his way out.

And more importantly, you'll likely have your chance at any receiver (maybe not Blackmon) with that #6 pick in the draft.

If they are acquiring Manning, they are not going to have the #6 pick. Because that is what it would probably take. Considering what the Raiders gave up for Palmer.
