I still say we won't know the potential of this team until we can run the ball to compliment one of the best passing offenses in the league.

The interior is garbage. Nagy/Costa/Kosier are weak. Much too weak.

Can the two young guys get much stronger? I don't know, but they aren't good enough in the run game right now.

But it's only been 4 of 16 games, he-YUK! amiright?

They've been terrible all 4 games in short yardage and goal line push.

What's your point? They aren't strong enough at the point of attack.

You think that's going to change this year?

Sheik, I agree 110%. We need to be able to get the tough yards, grind it out. Felix has actually shown he is better than expected running between the tackles. The problem is we are losing the battle up front.

Cowboy fans (maybe all teams' fan do this) tend to fall in love with every undrafted free agent or 7th round pick, thinking they will all turn into the next Tony Romo, Miles Austin, and Jay Ratliff. Nagy and Costa are not getting the job done and IMO, are back-up material at best. We need to get better there and we need to be able to run the ball consistently and effectively enough to take pressure off Romo. We shouldn't have to throw the ball 50 times a game.

At least the Skins won right, Banger?

You know you love it when we lose and argue with each other here.

He's like, "damn, Cowboy fans are the worst sports fans period. I guess the National Enquirer was right about you guys!"

I think we can still win with Romo...and win big.

Just like Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer winning the SB, the other facets of the team have to be good enough to shoulder the burden.

However, our defense and running game isn't good enough to win with Romo.

We have to rely on Romo 100% to win every single game and Romo's not good enough for that.

Bingo.

Not many teams or QBs are going to come out smelling like roses every week when you live and die by the pass.

No, those guys were bus drivers, not turnover machines. No one will win a SB with a gunslinging-disaster-waiting-to-happen like Romo.

But you are right about the run game. We could win with a bus driver if we had a run game, but we have neither.

Didnt we go 5-3 with Jon Kitna and Steven McGee last yr though? And last years team was far worse than this one, not even remotely close.

Good point. Yes and no...If you look at our stats last year 'with Romo' and 'without Romo', we averaged about 5 extra rushes per game without Romo.

I believe that if Romo got injured today at halftime, we'd have won today because Garrett would run the ball more often.

On the flipside, I'm still a Romo-homer and have to believe that our team is better when Romo is on the field.

No we didn't.

Kitna was actually 3-4 and threw two ints against Arizona that made romo's int's look like fabulous plays to put us behind.

McGee was 1-1, should have been 2-0 but is nowhere near ready to takeover.

If Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer were required to pass as much as Romo is, they'd be turnover machines as well.

With Garrett, it's like throwing he's throwing a pedophile Romo into a day-care center. We know Romo's going to do something stupid.

Romo needs to be protected from himself...to protect Romo, run the ball even when it's 3rd and 7.

Garrett went 5-3 after Wade was canned, and Kitna and McGee were the QB's. I guess I should have clarified.
