Real leaders taking care of a real hero. What a class move.

Not sure how old all of you are but I am old enough to have lived through the 1970 high crime era in NYC. During the late 1970s, early 1980s crime was out of control in NYC. So was inflation but that's another story. One year there were more than 3000 murders in NY. I cannot explain to you how bad the city was at that time. I used to ride the subways to work at my office in mid-town. I saw thing you would not believe including a bloody dead body of a man who had clearly pissed and shit himself. This was right outside Penn Station. He was laying over a large planter outside the building and people were just walking by like it was nothing. Cops patrolling outside Penn station ignored the scene. This was NYC under Democrats.

But what I remember was the attitude that the criminals were the victims and the victims were just collateral damage from the horrible oppressive policies that the criminals grew up under. It's starting to look like that again now. Daniel Penny, who may have save lives is the criminal. The threatening crazy persons is the victim of injustice.

Then came Rudy Giuliani. He told New Yorkers they deserved a better quality of life in the city because it is expensive to live there and they pay high taxes. I am sure even the rich liberals in the city heard that. He was elected and immediately changed the attitude. The cops cleaned up all the riff-raff from the streets and the crime rate began to decline rapidly. Victims were heard and criminals were held accountable.
