Just bizarre. Matt Geatz withdraws from AG nomination. Senate RINO's are still rotted to the core would be my guess.

Interwebs is saying he did this entirely on his own, was not asked to by anyone from Trump's team.

Well. I admire his reasoning.

There's more to the Gaetz story IMO. Trump weeded out the RINO's that need to be primaried and Gaetz will get another job. most likely in the administration. Pam Bondi is the new nominee and she's a super pick.

I sure hope theyre thinking that many moves ahead but why did he vacate his seat?

Of course we can only speculate but maybe he has a shot at the Senate seat in Florida. Or maybe Bondi will appoint him to some position in DoJ that oversees public corruption that doesn't require Senate approval.

If we're going to be honest, Bondi is more "qualified" for the AG position. But Gaetz is/was a disruptor hated on both sides of the isle. He wasn't politics as usual and that appealed to me. All this really goes to show how tough a job Trump and his administration will have. He has to fight the deep state on both sides.

And I also believe there were more "no" votes in the Senate but they were too cowardly to come out and say it. So when these traitorous RINO's realized there were enough "no" votes to tank Gaetz, they publicly came out in support of him. These are the worse kinds of RINO's (think Graham, Lindsey). It's also why the Dems had to cheat so heavy in the Senate races. They know exactly how many RINO's exist and what their acceptable number is for the majority to have.

I have no doubt things will become clearer as Trump takes office. Buckle up....it's going to be a wild ride.

Someone pointed out last night that Gaetz technically only resigned his CURRENT seat. He is still "technically" the incoming House Rep, if he wanted to be.

There was also speculation that Trump might name Gaetz as a Special Counsel to go after deep staters, J6 fraudsters etc etc

If they're going to go that route, he still has to get confirmed by the Senate (I believe). This was an issue with Jack Smith who was never approved as Special Counsel and I also believe this went up to SCOTUS or at least was mentioned in one of their rulings.
