Whitaker should be the nominee for the AG job.
He's wasting his time in NJ. This state is solidly blue and it is going to stay that way. There was a time when it could have been prevented but in 1975 some liberal assholes came up with the Mt Laurel doctrine which required town planning boards to ensure there was sufficient affordable housing in each and every town. Lawsuits were filed forcing NJ towns to not only allow affordable housing to be built, but to set aside land and meet affordable housing goals. Once rural towns were forced by the state to built hundreds of affordable housing units to allow low income families to move into the town. Republicans towns were soon turned to Democrat strongholds. Despite overcrowded schools,, traffic congestion, disappearing open land, the state has increased the mandates even further. Towns in NJ are still fighting the state over these rulings. Recently a group of 24 townships have sued again to stop the latest mandates increasing the construction of affordable housing. My town is about as crowded as it can be now, with very few open lots for building any more homes. But we still have to build more than 150 additional affordable units over the next few years. Traffic be damned! Needless to say, these low income housing units are being purchased by people who vote Democrat. Towns that were once solid red, are not solid blue. The ruling has destroyed our small town culture. He did a great job up there for sure. I believe he said he is hoping to do the same thing in New Jersey next cycle.
They are already attacking Bondi. Even Republicans are attacking her over he support for Israel. Republicans don't know how to win. There's more to the Gaetz story IMO. Trump weeded out the RINO's that need to be primaried and Gaetz will get another job. most likely in the administration. Pam Bondi is the new nominee and she's a super pick.

Didnt the numbers show a pretty strong swing from 2020 and 2016 though? I know the Dems still won but I thought they showed comparisons and Trump/Reps picked up some significant ground. He's wasting his time in NJ. This state is solidly blue and it is going to stay that way.
The point is, it is too late for NJ. Sure there are still some towns that are blue and we even have some conservative districts electing Republicans. But NJ has been engineered into a Democrat states for good. Sure, if Republicans could somehow take over the state legislature and the governor's office, they could stop the madness. But once Democrats get control, they won't allow a change of the guard.
Gaetz announced that he was definitely NOT going to take his House seat back, did say he would be working on something else but didnt say what.If they're going to go that route, he still has to get confirmed by the Senate (I believe). This was an issue with Jack Smith who was never approved as Special Counsel and I also believe this went up to SCOTUS or at least was mentioned in one of their rulings.
There's a slew of people who have come out very supportive of her, in the Senate and elsewhere. I posted a few Senate comments and there were numerous others.I haven't really heard any negative reaction from Republicans but I always said there's still a little ways to go to gut the party. Establisment RINO's absolutely must be gutted.
