I still disagree with you on that, he has not governed in Florida like an establishment/Rino guy at all.

Hopefully he wouldn't change if he got into higher office.

He governed Florida like a politician and took on Disney to enhance his own political image. Florida is booming....no doubt about that, partly because places like New York, New Jersey and California suck so bad people are moving out to take advantage of the no state tax. But it's gotten expensive as hell and not just for housing. I go several times a year and have seen drastic changes in the cost of living.

In any event, DeSantis would govern like an establishment Republican beholden to his donors. There's a reason he's running third in some polls and his political decisions, pre-Trump endorsement, will come out of the closet. Even the left wing media is keeping it down low until if/when he becomes the nominee. DeSantis is toast.

Got to hand it to Kevin McCarthy for wearing his typical Republican costume to a press conference. He claimed the allegations against Biden are rising to the level of impeachment! Someone needs to give him a pocket constitution with the words, "treason, bribery, and high crimes and misdemeanors" highlighted. Biden is accused of taking a bribe which is constitutional grounds for impeachment. It is not rising to any level. It already meets the bar for impeachment as the founders intended.

The difference between Pelosi and McCarthy: Pelosi pushed through 2 impeachments of Trump with BS charges, lies for evidence and lowered the bar for impeachment in the process. McCarthy has constitutional grounds and still doesn't have the balls to pull the trigger. He hasn't even established an impeachment inquiry yet to force Biden on the defensive. The argument I am hearing is that some Republicans are against impeachment and McCarthy does not have the votes. Then he should start calling out the Republicans against so the voters know who they are. The idea that we let a scoundrel finish his term because he can be beaten in November is ridiculous. If he was bribed he needs to go and we will deal with his replacement next.

The slimey cowards in the Republican party won't even vote to expunge Trump's impeachment for asking President Zelensky to cooperate with Bill Bar, the US AG, to investigate suspicious behavior by Joe Biden and his son. Not that there was ever a question of whether Trump's phone call was appropriate or not, but now we know there is evidence that Biden pressured the Ukrainian president to fire the Ukraine prosecutor because Biden and his son were paid $10 million to help our his son's company, Burisma. Biden's story never made sense. The US thought Ukraine was totally corrupt so what was firing one prosecutor going to do? Ukraine would just appoint another prosecutor who was currupt which is what they did. So Republicans are worried about precedent? expunging an innocent president who are impeach for political reasons is exactly the precedent that should be set.

Why are you surprised Creeper? This is very same "Old Guard" that I'm referring to that you think we can unify with a better candidate. They need to be primaried and voted out; there can be no unification. The Republican Party has changed and it will take a few years to get rid of these cowardly self serving RINO's but it will be done. And it will be done post Trump. People are onto them.

The days of the Romney's and McConnell's being the leaders of the party are over.

There are a few Republicans in Congress and Senate that are noting the Demtards "watered down the impeachment process" by doing what they did. They are a little leery of pushing another impeachment through after two bogus ones but the comments I saw made also noted "unless he has or believes he will have firm evidence.

The dems did this despite a few in their own party noting it would never fly in the senate, and it ended up being nothing more than a publicity stunt to play to their extreme left base. Likewise, they (Republicans) could probably get an impeachment vote done in the House but there's no way the Senate will confirm it to remove Biden from office this time either.

It's a little bit of a conundrum, because in the end even though impeachment seems 100% warranted here, they will never get it done.

A tentative agreement between UPS and its unionized workforce was hailed as "historic" this week, with Teamsters leadership boasting that they "changed the game."

President Biden congratulated contract negotiators and shipping customers everywhere, breathing a sigh of relief that a massive strike would likely be averted. The agreement boosts starting pay for part-timers to $21 an hour, raises the top rate for-time drivers to $49, eliminates a hated "two-tier" wage system that paid some drivers less than others for identical work and includes heat protections and air conditioning for new trucks.

But the deal must still be ratified by UPS' 340,000 unionized workers, most of whom are part-time, and some of whom say it wouldn't fix decades of falling pay in a physically exhausting job. Those workers are calling for a "no" vote on the agreement, raising the possibility that ratification will fail.

At a hearing in Delaware today, a federal judge questioned a plea deal that would have allowed Hunter Biden to avoid a prison sentence for failing to pay his income taxes and illegally buying a gun. Under that agreement, Biden would have pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor tax offenses. The deal also called for pretrial diversion with respect to a felony gun charge: receipt or possession of a firearm by an "unlawful user" of a controlled substance.

U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika objected to language in the agreement that seemed to preclude future prosecution for tax or lobbying crimes. The Associated Press reports that she also "expressed concern" about the decision to drop the gun charge once Biden completes a two-year diversion program that would require him to avoid drugs and firearms. As written, the plea agreement would have charged Noreika rather than the Justice Department with determining whether Biden had met the program's requirements. She suggested that arrangement was constitutionally questionable because it assigned a prosecutorial function to a judge.

------------------------------
Pretrial diversion in these gun/drug cases can ONLY be authorized by the US AG or the Assistant US AG.

My first comment is if Trump did the things he is accused of, and I am not talking about the willful retention of documents which is silly, then he is guilty of being a moron. It just makes no sense to play theses games with evidence knowing you are under investigation and knowing how desperate Democrat DAs are to catch you doing something wrong. Imagine if Trump did not move boxes around to hide them from the DOJ. Then the only charges would be 31 counts of willful retention of documents. No one would argue that is worth an indictment of a former president.

But now, in addition to the charges of moving boxes to hide them, Trump is accused of asking his underlings to delete security camera footage at Mar-a-Lago. Again, if true, this was an incredibly stupid thing for Trump to do. He turned a minor unprosecutable case into case into a near slam dunk. After watching Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, and others raided and indicted for being Trump's confidants, how could he possibly believe the DOJ would not press low level players to turn on Trump and admit to crimes?

Again, I preface all of this with "if he did it", because Jack Smith is known for manufacturing evidence.

I am not kicking my heels over this just yet. Something tells me this was all a ploy and we are still going to see Hunter get off with a sweetheart deal. It was all just too convenient. Just think what happened here. The two parties agree to a plea deal. They go into the court room before a judge and suddenly they do not agree what the deal entails? If the defense did not have a clear understanding of the immunity Hunter would get then why agree tot he deal? And if they did, then when the prosecutor said the deal did not include immunity from FARA charges, why didn't the defense claim the prosecution lied, and was not acting in good faith? The just called the deal off and agree to go back and work on a new deal. It is all too fishy too me.

I fully expect the two sides to announce a new agreement in a week or two and the same judge who shot this one down will approve it. It will give Hunter immunity from tax charges, and the gun charges.
