Thanks for the detective work and the info.

Ditto. Definitely something to keep in mind and if this comes up. I'd be curious about general rule of having a return address but if it's not on the books, Scott is probably right....

Please let there be enough proof to overturn this election

Otherwise we are foooooooked!

If Biden wins everyone I know will be putting all of their resources toward a secession movement so that Texas can once again become an independent nation. We will be building walls to the East, West, and the North as well as the South. I know you live in the Peoples Republic of California. We will trade 100 Austin area SJW's who probably came from California to begin with for good Californians like you assuming you want to come here.

There were a number of requirements. The address on the return envelope was not one of them.

“If” Georgia was one of the states that sent out ballots to every registered voter then that state could have issues because their absentee voter registration/instructions/requirements were never amended to include that. Their instructions still state that an absentee ballot must be requested and the process for requesting one is pretty extensive and requires ID proof and good cause

If Texas does start the process I’ll be there before y’all can even finish the wall so I can help build it!

The better solution is for CA to succeed and become its own nation

That would kill two birds with one stone

It would remove its 55 electoral votes from the election process, and its liberal retardation from the rest of the country hopefully stemming the tide and infection of the rest of the country. It would also strengthen the red states power base.

Hell, CA is already the 5th largest economy in the world. Let it go and do it’s own thing. If they want to let in every illegal, pay for and give them free everything, let inmates choose what sex they are and which gender prison they want to go to, if they want to remove every single gun in the state/nation I say let them. Let their crazy ass backwards mental retardation type laws destroy itself from within

And the rest of the country can watch as a warning as CA crumbles and destroys itself before their own eyes

So no news out of today’s Kraken trial yet?

Anyone know if they are broadcasting the trial anywhere?

I’d love to hear the actual evidence they are presenting

I just saw this in an article by Forbes posted a few hours ago

TOPLINE A Michigan lawsuit seeking to overturn the state’s election results led by former Trump advisor Sidney Powell suffered a key failure in federal court Monday, as the judge denounced her conspiracy theories based around Dominion voting machines as “nothing but speculation and conjecture,” marking the first of Powell’s battleground state lawsuits to fail in court and the latest in a string of losses in the GOP’s post-election cases challenging President-elect Joe Biden’s win.

KEY FACTS

Powell filed lawsuits in Michigan and other battleground states alleging widespread fraud that justifies de-certifying the state’s election results, claiming WITHOUT EVIDENCE that machines from Dominion Voting Systems flipped votes from President Donald Trump to Biden.

U.S. District Court Judge Linda V. Parker made clear in her ruling, which rejected Powell’s request for injunctive relief, that those conspiracy theories were not based on any ACTUAL EVIDENCE, noting that the plaintiffs did not actually give PROOF that any votes were flipped, but rather brought “an amalgamation of theories, conjecture, and speculation that such alterations were possible.”

“To be perfectly clear, Plaintiffs’ equal protection claim is not supported by any allegation that Defendants’ alleged schemes caused votes for President Trump to be changed to votes for Vice President Biden,” Parker wrote, noting their affidavits used words like “believe” and “may” that did not substantively show any wrongdoing took place.

Powell’s case also failed on a number of other grounds, including being brought too late, with Parker writing the case “represents well the phrase: ‘this ship has sailed.’”

The judge noted that “much of” the relief the GOP plaintiffs sought “is beyond the power of this Court,” concluding that the lawsuit “seems to be less about achieving the relief Plaintiffs seek…and more about the impact of their allegations on People’s faith in the democratic process and their trust in our government.”

CRUCIAL QUOTE

“Plaintiffs ask this Court to ignore the orderly statutory scheme established to challenge elections and to ignore the will of millions of voters,” Parker wrote. “This, the Court cannot, and will not, do. The People have spoken.”

CHIEF CRITIC

Attorney Gregory Rohl, who is working with Powell on the case, told the Detroit Free Press Monday the legal team had not yet decided whether it would appeal the case, but he was “prepared to do so.” “I believe that our projected path to resolution of this issue for Michigan and national voters always contemplated ultimate review by” the U.S. Supreme Court, Rohl said.

KEY BACKGROUND

Powell launched lawsuits on behalf of GOP plaintiffs in Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona weeks after Election Day, after the former Trump lawyer began spreading the debunked Dominion conspiracy theory and the Trump campaign distanced themselves from Powell. Powell’s lawsuits have already been marked by a series of issues, with numerous errors throughout the lawyer’s court filings including major mistakes like naming plaintiffs who had not actually agreed to join the lawsuit. Soon after the Michigan court ruling, a judge in Georgia also struck down Powell’s case there, dismissing the case based on a number of issues including lack of standing. The Michigan lawsuit is also part of a broader effort by the Trump campaign and GOP to challenge Biden’s victories in battleground states. That legal effort has been so far almost wholly unsuccessful, with the GOP losing or dropping 47 cases thus far, and only notching one minor win.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Powell’s cases in Wisconsin and Arizona are still ongoing, with hearings set to take place Monday in Georgia and Tuesday in Arizona. The lawyer’s loss in Michigan likely ends the biggest ongoing legal challenge in the battleground state, whose election results have already been certified, though there is still another pending case in which GOP plaintiffs are seeking an audit of some election results.

I'm not a big rum drinker, but in light of the Kraken's huge win in court today I think I might have to get me a bottle and try me some. From the reviews today It's probably pretty thin and hollow tasting and lacking any real depth of flavor.

Powell’s case also failed on a number of other grounds, including being brought too late....

I've heard this flimsy-assed POS rationalization for brooming these cases one too many times....The only "too late" in the field of law that I'm aware of is the statute of limitations.

...spreading the debunked Dominion conspiracy theory...

There's that brain dead media brush-off again!....Who "debunked" the alleged "conspiracy theory" and how did they do it?....Seems the stooges at Forbes can't/won't elaborate on that.

The lack of any actual evidence debunked the conspiracy theory

In the courts (plural)
In front of the judges (plural)
Which is exactly where she promised to provide ALL of her proof

Apparently the only thing flimsy is the evidence that the Kraken claimed to have

Because not only did the Kraken’s lawsuit fail in Michigan it apparently failed in Georgia today too as being reported right now on Newsmax

Tomorrow is the only day that could potentially count in any of this. The SCOTUS will hear the PA mail-in ballot appeal. Otherwise one week from tomorrow the EC gets to work. Time's up.

Debunking usually involves testing the theory and finding it wanting, not just rejection out-of-hand by media hacks or some judge.

There's more than enough circumstantial evidence to warrant investigation of the charges....Orders of magnitude more in fact than existed for the 2 1/2 year RUSSIA! bug hunt....Moreover, these are civil actions, which have a lower bar of proof than the criminal.

I'd bet it is. Otherwise, someone could just collect ballots, put them in unmarked envelops and just mail them out. I'd bet it's part of the verification process and any ballot that doesn't have a return address should be disqualified. Not even opened.....

From control standpoint, I think the address should be added by the person filling out the ballot on the inside of the ballot in ink in one of those computer generated type forms and it must match the address on the voter registration so when the ballot passes through the machine it reads the address and the bar code and verifies the two addresses match.

That would render the RA on the envelope moot, no?

In the event blank ballots are printed and sent willy-nilly to everyone then this wouldn't be possible but it seems to me you could still control the validity of the ballot by requiring all the information to match the voter registration which would make it more difficult for fraud because someone would have to have a list of registered voters and then gamble on who may or may not vote in person.

If there are properly created checks and balances someone could print mail-in ballots and they'd be very safe but the question is in my mind is whether these exist and if so, what are they?

At the very least if the news was worth a shit they could do a comprehensive analysis of our voting system, state by state in extreme detail and point out the pros and cons but I'm sure they don't because the average TV viewer wouldn't watch

That is step one to get it in front of the SCOTUS. Success or failure means absolutely nothing at this level.

You do understand that the actual conspiracy theory is that Trump won the election right?

The burden of proof was on the Kraken

Today was her big day in court to prove her conspiracy theory

She stated that Trump won in a landslide and that she had the evidence to prove it

She stated that there was widespread voter fraud and that she had the evidence to prove it

She stated x, y, and z....

She made many, many, many, many claims of different types of voter fraud and said that she had the evidence to prove it and that she would prove it in court and that she would overturn the election

She filed her lawsuits

She had her day in court

She failed to prove even one single claim of fraud or anything else for that matter

And by the way, the whole claim that she wouldn’t stake her stellar reputation on this case if she didn’t have the evidence to prove it.....

Well she did
And she showed up to court with zero evidence apparently

We (as in the Trump supporters and loyalists and I include myself in that group) were promised proof that the election was stolen

Today the Kraken proved that she had zero actual evidence. She proved that all she has are theories, and circumstantial evidence that doesn’t add up to a pile of horseshit.
