The 2000 election caused tons of derangement and I point to it as the source of the mushroom of derangement we see today. Even David Letterman flew off the rails, to the point everything was political and he wasn't in any way funny anymore.

I think so, although Trump seems to be doing this at a much faster pace than 2016.

He knows exactly what he wants to do and knows what caused issues before. He's surrounding himself with great people that are loyal to his agenda this time.
