There is something very low character about these Republicans who get spanked by the MAGA crowd and respond with childish pouty behavior. Jeff Flake started it. Liz Cheney took it to a new level. But it seems like the behavior of these people is to act like because they lost they have to burn down the party so no one else can have it. They are clearly showing they are only in it for themselves and they are selfish. I could never trust any of these people again.

RFK was never a moderate. Some conservatives back him because of his stance on vaccines. But everything else about RFK is liberal - even wacko liberal. His VP selection is a good move for Trump because she will convince DeSantis supporters unhappy with Trump, not to vote for RFK. But she might convince some Biden voters that RFK is liberal enough as an alternative to Biden.

Do people remember how the Washington post kept a running list of what they called Trump's lies? On that list were mostly opinions that the Washington Post disagreed with so they tallied them as lies. Many of those lies, like Obama wire tapped Trump's building turned out to be true, but the WP never corrected their list.
Weird though that Biden tells these ridiculous stories that are clearly not true, they are not opinions they are fabrications and the WP just pretends they were never said. Even when Biden repeats his whoppers the WP still hardly pays any attention.
At this point, there are only two types of journalists, fools and tools.

I can't find any media reports about it, but there is a rumor on Twitter/X that a whistleblower has come forward claiming jailed attorney Michael Avenatti told him that the $130k payoff from Trump to Stormy Daniels was actually a plot devised by Michael Cohen to extort the money from Trump. According to the whistleblower, Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels were having an affair which started in 2006. Together they came up with the idea to get Trump to pay Daniels money for her silence when she claimed Trump slept with her. It was Cohen who approached Trump and advised him to pay her off for her silence. Trump denied he ever slept with Daniels. Daniels and her attorney both signed separate sworn statements at the time that Daniels never had sex with Trump.
This could be just more nonsense from idiots on Twitter, but if true this would be a bombshell story. For one thing, Bragg's entire case that Trump paid off Daniels to cover up an affair would be blown up. If there was no affair there was no cover up. It is a stupid argument by Bragg to begin with but he knows he has an anti-Trump judge and will most like get an anti-Trump jury too. Of all the cases against Trump this one is the weakest, and that is saying something.
Bragg has indicated he intends to put both Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen on the stand in Trump's trial. What if Trump's lawyers know of the affair between Cohen and Daniels? What if they question the two witnesses on the stand and they lie, and Trump's attorney prove they are lying? Is this rumor a warning to Daniels and Cohen about their testimony? If Bragg decides not to put them on teh stand then we know the rumor is probably true.

That's the problem. They are all serial liars. This case against Trump is so weak and ridiculous it astonishes me that the judge is actually allowing it to move forward.
Consider the facts. Bragg is claiming that the reimbursements paid to Michael Cohen that were classified as "Legal Fees" constitutes fraud because they were actually payoffs to Stormy Daniels and because Michael Cohen was not Trump's attorney at the time. This is a misdemeanor. But Bragg elevated this misdemeanor to a felony claiming the fraud was to cover up another crime. He is arguing it was election related because Trump wanted to hide the Stormy Daniels story from the voters.
First question. How is it a crime for a candidate to hide bad stuff about him from the public? And how can Bragg prove the married Trump was only worried about his election and not also his marriage? Finally, what if the accusations by Daniels is not true? What if Trump did not have sex with the porn star? After all, she and her lawyer both signed sworn statements that it never happened? Then Trump wouldn't be cover up a fact, He would be covering up a smear campaign against him.
I have no idea how this case remains active but it is clear that in NY the system is rigged. Trump did not get the judges in his cases by random draw. They were assigned because they are anti-Trump and the system is rigged. Any objective judge would throw this case out, especially since the SDNY investigated this case and chose not to bring any charges - because the case is stupid.
