The solution is to arm everyone in Chicago. Yes, there'd be a lot of shooting at first. But then, things would settle down...
I have a friend of over 40 years who's lived in Chicago for the last 30 or so. Recently told me he felt the need to arm himself for the first time in his life. Said he never thought he would have to do it.

You all are not going to like what I have to say, but both sides are wrong about masks. It is true, masks do not work, but social distancing does work. It is simple to understand. Isolation prevents the virus from spreading. But isolation is impossible because we need people to go to work so the rest of us can eat, get medical attention, and other essential services. So the compromise is not perfect, but better than nothing. Stay away from each other. Stay home if you feel sick or have been exposed to someone who has been sick. Again, this is not perfect.

So where do masks come in? The best study I have seen was done by a couple of physicists specializing in particle dynamics. The looked at what happens when you talk, sneeze or cough while wearing a mask. The fact is, some but not all particles pass through the common masks, even when they are well fitted. Air pressure forces particles out the sides of the mask and some through the mask. But what they found is masks slow the vast majority of particles that do pass through so they do not travel as far. If people stay 6-10 ft apart, then masks are somewhat effective. Again not perfect. But inside of 6 ft, they are useless because the mask does not stop particles from traveling inside 6 ft.

Does this mean we should where masks? No, not if we are going to huddle together even wearing our N95 masks. It is pointless. Kinds in school are going to be close to each other and teachers. Airlines can't keep people 6 ft apart. Even grocery stores will struggle to keep people apart. It would hurt the entire economy. And for COVID, which right now is not killing people, it would be dumb to try.

^^ sounds reasonable to me^^

If the government and CDC would just give us straight talk like this, they'd garner far more trust. The problem as I see it is politicians, the CDC, et al want us to trust them with a lie while they are unwilling to trust us with the truth

Yes, this really happened. This government sued Elon Musk and said he is not hiring enough illegal aliens and instead hires "too many Americans"

The fucking lunacy has to fucking stop. This government has to be removed.

I hate to ask but is Kristen Clarke another Affirmative action hire at Harvard? An people wonder why the Supreme Court ruled against Harvard on this issue.

This case may be even more ridiculous than the cases against Trump, but do you see how one case emboldens other Democrat DAs to bring other frivolous cases? So imagine what happens if one of these DAs wins? It will a feeding frenzy to bring all kinds of charges and suits against right leaning leaders in this country. This needs to be tamped down and tamped down hard. We need to convinced the electorate that this is all the fault of Democrats who are corrupting our justice system. To fix it, we must get rid of Democrats willing to put politics ahead of the country. The Supreme Court can act too by encouraging victims of corrupt DAs to bring their cases before the SCOTUS so the SCOTUS can start slapping the lower courts and DAs down hard. Roberts criticized the liberals on the court for catty behavior in the last round of rulings. Maybe he is ready to wield his gavel to save the legal system now.

If SCOTUS gets one Trump case and throws it out with extreme prejudice and strong words, it will end this BS for at least a few years and send a message to all DAs across the country. I am dreaming, of course.

This video is great, treating climate change fucktards exactly as they should be treated. I wish they'd have ran the people over and not just their garbage.

Every single one of these people needs to be removed from office ASAP. There is no excuse for this crap to continue to happen.

This is why police departments can't fill their vacancies. Departments that used to have thousands of applicants to hire a handful of officers now only have a few dozen applicants, most of whom will not pass the backgrounds. It'll be a crisis soon enough which will result in hiring unqualified officers which will lead to rampant corruption. Book it.........

Nebraska's Republican Gov. Jim Pillen on Wednesday signed an executive order strictly defining a person's sex.

The order notably does not use the term “transgender,” although it appears directed at limiting transgender access to certain public spaces. It orders state agencies to define “female” and “male” as a person’s sex assigned at birth.

“It is common sense that men do not belong in women’s only spaces,” Pillen said in a statement. “As Governor, it is my duty to protect our kids and women’s athletics, which means providing single-sex spaces for women’s sports, bathrooms, and changing rooms.”

Pillen's order came less than a month after Oklahoma's Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt signed an almost identical order.

The Nebraska and Oklahoma orders both include definitions for the words “man,” “boy,” “woman,” “girl,” “father” and “mother.” They specifically define a female as a person “whose biological reproductive system is designed to produce ova” and a male as a person whose "biological reproductive system is designed to fertilize the ova of a female.”
