You underestimate Albrights athleticism.

Nope. He was a 4-3 DE who was athletic enough to stand up and play 3-4 OLB. He slid inside and played some ILB when we got desperate. ILB's and 4-3 OLB's have to cover slots, halfbacks, and tight ends. Albright will be a first down waiting to happen.

I think some people are hoping he's more than what he is.

1 yr in which a guy hardly played (and was moved around between multiple LB spots in a 3-4) is hardly enough to make any sort of real judgement about his future.

And agree with Albright not being a LB in this scheme. How often do you see 6-5, 260 lb LBs in the Tampa 2? Pretty much never. Urlacher might be the closest but Albright is no Urlacher.

Ryan seemed to really like the guy and they seem thin at LB (projecting Butler to start, yow)... I might look at trading him to them for a 6th or 7th if they get desperate.

I don't see people jumping up and down for him. If I had to choose a roster spot between him and Wilber I would take Wilber.

If he can't work out at LB then try and trade, but more likely just release him. We have enough undersized projects at DE.
