even though marred by scandal, wouldn't AP demand more than Murray? and doesn't he still belong to Minny?

I don't even blame Martin that much. Peppers is of course twice as quick as he or any guard is, and he only got the hand in there. If he doesn't knock the ball out, Murray runs through that easily. He just got lucky he caused the fumble.

And yeah, Troy is crazy saying "he'd have hit his head on the goalpost." There's no way. Probably a 10 yard gain at most.

Well, Callahan is gone and the rather redundant Linehan (the bald Jason) is staying, so not sure what we need Murray for anyway. The run game is on its way to extinction. The o-line were the mighty stars of 2014 because of the running game alone.

The Jason Garrett passing game is a QB killer so it's not like the 2014 superstar o-line did wonders in protecting Romo. They couldn't. They were that good from the running game alone.

Do the math, Romo was sacked an average of 15 drop backs. That was worse than the previous years. How is that possible? It is if the opponents know your WR routes and can get to your QB by overloading on your pro bowl line while your slow receivers make their way downfield to a defensively manipulated location. Even Green Bay used multiple formations and especially play action when their running backs were getting tough yards. But what do they know? It's not like they have been in any Super Bowls lately.

Callahan should have been kept just to keep Garrett under control. Now there is no contrast and nothing to hold back the red doofus.

I wonder now if the o-line will still do the Hitch on victory kneedowns.

Redskins hire Callahan to coach OL

Redskins hire Bill Callahan to coach O-line

The Washington Redskins have hired former Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Callahan and agreed to a three-year deal, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports. This according to two people with knowledge of the situation.

Callahan is a well-respected offensive line coach and also has experience as a head coach. He coached the Raiders to the Super Bowl in 2003, following the 2002 season, but they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bruce Allen, the Redskins’ team president, was general manager of the Raiders then.

Callahan will be charged with repairing an offensive line that struggled last season. The line features Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams, and a solid veteran in center Kory Lichtensteiger, but the other three positions need upgrading.

This has the potential to be a huge loss for us. And a huge gain for the Redskins, unfortunately.

Callahan was the OL coach that helped set record rushing lows for this team with his hand chosen linemen like Livings and Bernadeau. The run blocking was much better when a Pollack arrived to coach the line while Callahan called plays. I think Pollack is every bit as good as Callahan, probably better.
