Okay... well, you can speculate all you want that he would've adjusted the kick.

I live in the real world, and I know that the kick he made, wouldn't have been good from another 5 yards out.

And you know what? I'm betting that wasn't intentional.

In other words, I'm betting that Dan Bailey intended for that kick to go right down the middle. For whatever reason - wind, the hold, field condition, timing, etc... it was off course and veered to the right.

Now, I'm sure the procedure for attempting a field goal from 44 yards vice 39 is so drastically different, that those same factors wouldn't have even been a consideration.

Also, the notion that some "adjustment" would've solved the problem is laughable.

We're not talking about comparing a 25 yarder, to a 50 yarder.

The difference between a 39 yarder and a 44 yarder is is negligible with regards to the approach to the kick. You spot the ball, you line up, and you kick it. Are you suggesting Dan Bailey is going to make major procedural adjustments over a 5 yard difference on a 44 yard kick?

Laughable. But to be expected from a guy like RoyDaHamma!

He didn't earn his own icon from being an smart guy, afterall.

I doubt 5 yards farther back makes a difference to how much strength a kicker has to use. The original kick had plenty of strength, hell, went right over the entire goal post.

Oh, you see.. its not speculation. Its a fact. Kickers don't kick extra points the same way they kick 55 yard field goals. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll see what a complete moron you sound like in this thread and the sooner you'll realize why i've been mocking you the entire time.

Have you ever kicked field goals?

I'll leave it at that.. its not the same approach for any distance. There was no luck involved. Bailey has hit 23 straight, and its not because he's just a really lucky guy dumbass.

..and spare me the "smart guy" line. I "earned" my icon over my one opinion of Newman, which Broadus just confirmed btw. Just because some choose not to see it, doesn't really matter. The icon is there because there's a particular middle aged board owner that disagreed with me and has no life so he decided to take time out of his im sure, very busy day to make it. Oh heavens, what will i ever do?
