Quick Fix - what's your plan

There really isn't anything else to talk about. How would you fix this mess?

Obviously we need new coaches AND new players. Which coaches would you bring in? What players would you get rid of and who would you replace them with?

I'm the kind of guy that just likes to just start from scratch...but that Romo contract prohibits us from doing that.

So what's your plan?

If murder was legal, I'd start by taking out Jerry and his kin

Looking at how Carter is not great at coverage or dropping back but plays at high speed when plays are in front of him, they should put him opposite Ware on the line and let him rush.

I'm gonna answer this as if I became GM of the team today.

Because its week 5 already and we're in first place I know we're limited with what we can do but we're still in a position to make the playoffs in a very winnable and weak division.

I'd fire Garrett. First place or not he sucks. Never had any business being named HC.

Marinelli would be named interim HC. Not a whole lot we could do here. Basically just picking the best name on the staff. I think the motivator that Marinelli is he would be good for this team going forward and getting the most out of them to secure the division.

I'd trade for the best available road grading guard/tackle I can get. Using players. Try to keep my draft picks unless they're late rounders then trade em.. who gives a fuck.. Miles Austin would probably be used in the trade. He does nothing for us now.

Tell Callahan to start running the football more and commit to it. Gotta give this defense a break. Control the clock. Protect Romo. Also, the most emotional player we have on the field is Dez Bryant. He needs the ball more. Double coverage or not. Force it. Figure out ways to get the ball in his hands.

With that I think its good enough to win this division and maybe steal the first game in the playoffs.

Not to be a debbie downer, but the only fix would be Jerry dying.

This team has done everything. Change coaches, change schemes, change players etc. Same old mediocracy year in year out.

Bottom line is we are just a fundamentally flawed organization who's leadership cares more about marketing the brand and letting everyone know he's the face of the team than he does delivering a structured, organized, consistant winner.

I think an offensive scheme change could really help.

The defense was bad in the 2nd half but through the entirety of the season thus far they have been much better than how they finished last year.

Romo has had like 10 games outside of a Garrett system. Back in 2006 when he took over for Bledsoe. Since then, Garrett has been the only person who he has worked under.

Garrett's system is fucking broken. They don't scheme to get players favorable match ups. They want to be a 2TE unit but when the opportunity presented itself for Gavin to do just about the one thing he can be counted on to do (be bigger than whoever is guarding him and outjump that player), Gavin wasn't even on the field. How in the fuck do you let that even be a possibility? Split him out wide on one side and Dez on the other, whoever is getting singled should have the look.

There is no quick fix but getting a real offensive coach who has complete command and knows the fuck he is doing would really help the offense.

This team has underperformed on offense for far too long under Jason Garrett.

If they don't pick their shit up, he has to go.
