Can you risk losing a Jeff Heath for him though?
Tough choices. One might be a 12 or more year franchise QB, or a total bust. One made the team last year and might develop into your next Darren Woodson. Or not.

The better question is, do you risk either or possibly both for a middling player dude who killed a teammate in a DWI crash.

I really doubt Heath will be on the bubble though. Would surprise me if he was.

Nvm, looked it up.

I really think they should hold onto this guy if they're keeping an emergency QB, which they need to do.

His size and arm warrants a little patience.

Id like to see what he does around the redzone.

He could be a fun project.
I watched him in every game he started, just a awesome leader and a scoring machine. All he does is matriculate the ball down the field and sticks it in the end zone.

Last year the WT offense ran up 90 points on a pesky opponent who wanted a shootout. They got one.

Last season at West Texas A&M (my Alma Mater) he threw for nearly 5500 yards, 54 TDs, only 10 picks. He protects the ball.

Since you have a hard time judging QB talent, evidenced by your Romo evaluations, I'll watch his snaps at the end of preseason and let you know if he has a shot.

:rofl

I've given Romo alot of props. I'm just tired of him, ya know?

He might have a banner year this year. He looked really good tonight for the time they gave him.

Yep looks like Harvey Martin out there. He missed his sack chance earlier though, trying to strip the ball I think. Just tackle the dude.

He set the record at the combine for most bench press reps at 49. Really strong.

Just hope we're never seeing Vaughan winning Super Bowls for some other team while Romo sits in the broadcast booth with Troy on Fox saying, "Taught that kid everything he knows."

Needs to take some weight off, looks pretty tubby and might help him with more speed, which he already also has for a big guy. Lots of plusses with him so far.

I'm having a tough time seeing how he makes it. He sux on defense and he sux on special teams too.

He was at least partly (if not mostly) at fault for that ridiculous 108 yd KO return.

49 reps and they said during the broadcast he ran 4.8 at 300lbs

Then we watch what he does in the game with just a couple days of practice. Why wasn't this guy on somebody's practice squad/roster?

Missed the game and too lazy to read the whole thread.

I miss anything noteworthy?

The game was actually somewhat entertaining for a preseason game. The Ravens got a big lead off of a Romo-Murray fumbled exchange and an embarrassingly easy kickoff return.

The Dallas offense looked pretty good. Bryant was unholy, Romo still looked a little off but still okay. The OL looks legitimately good. Weeden is well, Weeden. The Vaughan kid looked pretty good, so did Jamar Newsome.

The D looked a little more enthusiastic than SD, but it was nearly 10 minutes into the game until they saw the field. Make no mistake, they still suck out loud and there is no relief in sight. Hayden and Carter are just plain awful and teams can make plays when they isolate either guy. Some of the schlubs like Minter who just joined the team showed some things.

Offense = Good. Dez amazing, Tony looked okay.
Defense = Bad. First team a little better than last week, second team horrible.
Special teams = Worst I've seen in a long time. First KO they gave up a TD. Dunno where that came from.

You didn't miss much really.
