What do you think their plan is if Decastro is off the board? Stay put and take the best available CB or OLB? Trade down?

I really think we try to find a 5-technique.

They loved JJ Watt. Tried to trade back up for Cam Jordan or that terrorist guy the Jets took.

It's going to be interesting to see how the top 10 evolves. A lot of people upped their stock at the Combine. If you listen to the talking heads, there's going to be about 37 people selected in the top 15 picks in the draft.

When is the draft? End of this month? I'm helpless without some sort of countdown clock.

I'd move the draft up a week, it drags that last 10 days or so.

and push FA to like may 1st

I like FA before the draft. I'd hate to have to draft for need not knowing if we are going to lose certain free agents or not.

Its definitely a good set up with free agency first

I didn't respect what [Poe] was doing because of the competition he faced.

I didn't respect what Poe was doing because he didn't do anything against any of the competition that he faced. People thought Ngata took plays off: He had 61 tackles, 3 sacks, 9 TFL and 1 FF in his final college season. Last year, in 12 games, Poe totaled a massively impressive 33, 1, 8 and 2. He's obviously an athletic beast. Why didn't he dominate Conference USA? That's why I wouldn't touch him at #14.

The really interesting thing to me, on the other hand, is how a guy playing in the B1G can rack up 16 sacks, 22 TFL, 9 FF, put up better combine numbers than Jason Pierre-Paul and be considered a much lesser prospect than Poe.

I've only seen Poe play once and wont claim to have any sort of extensive knowledge of him but would point out that the team he plays on is terrible. I think they won 2 games and have absolutely nothing around Poe on defense. If I were another teams offensive coordinator I'd be giving a ton of attention to him and none to anyone else there.

I've never seen him play. That's why I ask. :D

What impression did you have after watching him?

I'm sure scouts will talk to his former coaches, teammates, girlfriends, etc, and base their opinions on what they've seen on tape more than any of his numbers. I'm not pretending to know him at all, but his college production is a huge red flag to me. Of course, guys with his size/speed ratio never slide very far, and his meager 2011 numbers prolly mean he'll go top-10 instead of top-5.

I glanced at a few of Memphis' games and he didn't stand out. Again, I was watching live, most likely working out, and I didn't chart him. I've been hitting up the draft website guys on Twitter and they are saying he was double or triple teamed on most plays and had zero help. If they're right that should explain his lack of stats.

I dont think he is without risk but honestly dont know enough about his play to say otherwise.

The game I saw (and I didnt watch much of it) he didnt stand out but it could have easily been because the other team blocked him with multiple guys.

I've read a poster say in the chat forum on NFLDraftCountdown that Memphis asked him to rush wide-tackle a lot. Coming all the way from his DT spot.

I'm still wary of taking him at 14. He may need to be prodded in the pros.
