*Cordy Glenn, Donatri Poe, and Nick Perry are all in the conversation at #14 now. You should never fall in love with anyone's Combine performance (see Mike Mamula) but it should validate some stuff for you or in some cases, open your eyes. I always thought Poe was a solid player but I didn't respect what he was doing because of the competition he faced. Same with Glenn, liked what he did in games, but thought he was slow. He isn't. Perry has always impressed me during games but his measurables really validated him for me.

*Vontaze Burfict. Loved, loved, loved this kid a year ago. Now I'm not sure I'd draft him until the 4th round. He said all of the wrong things and put up bad numbers. He just doesn't seem to get it and soon, he will run out of people to blame.

* I am scared to death of the Redskins trading up to the #2 spot and drafting Robert Griffin III. I've been a fan of his since he started right away as a Freshman at Baylor. Actually, my son turned me onto him. He's a good kid and will be a force in this league. I'd hate to see him turn that franchise around. Throw in the fact we play Mike Vick twice a year and now that will be 4 games a year our slower then average Defense will be chasing more athletic QB's around.

*Pick 14 might be a good spot to be in. I'm entrenched on the David DeCastro bandwagon but not so much where I'd trade up to get him. If he falls to 14 he should be our guy, case closed IMO. If he goes before we pick, I think there are a lot of guys (Ingram, Poe, Perry, Glenn, Coples, Kirkpatrick, Upshaw, etc) we will be considering so that means we can move down a few spots, pick up an extra pick, and still get a guy we like. The reason I mentioned 14 is a good spot is that anyone who really wants Luke Kuechly is going to need to jump up to 14 to take him over the Eagles.

I like Poe at 14. Not Glenn or Perry. After a trade down, maybe.

And I actually hope the Redskins do sell out and trade up for Griffin. The guy has flaws. I'm not afraid of him at all. Besides, QB's like him don't win in this league. He's not built to take a pounding. Not worried at all.

If your short list is 6 deep then trade down

I want a defensive lineman at our spot. We need someone who can make Eli pay for stepping up to avoid SuperWare.

1. We won't take Kuechly because of Carter.
2. I'd rather have Carr or Finnegan than any of the corners.
3. there is no value at interior linemen at our spot. If you hate "reaching for a need" then you hate an interior OL at our pick.

I like RG3, but I agree with you. He is too injury prone for me to worry too much about him if he's with the Skins. He couldn't take a pounding in college, he's not going to be able to run around in the NFL. Dude gets a concussion when he puts his head on the pillow at night.

The longer the redskins go without a qb prospect the better. Eliminates any hope.

Getting rg3 gives them great reason for optimism.

Take another ryan Kerrigan over Andy Dalton ya big dummies

A QB prospect that busts, especially one that you sell out for (trading multiple high rounders) sets a franchise back years.

Nothin on my blackberry yet but my gut tells me we sign 1 good cb(finnegan), 1 good g(nicks/grubbs) get something done with Spencer

And draft goes like this

1.Poe
2. Mark Barron
Trade down
3. Jake bequette
4. Ladarius green

I think they'll think they have something in kowalski and Nagy and our guard might not come til 3-5

Ladarius is a thin wr/te Hernandez/Graham type
Bequette reminds me of Wes welker

I actually don't like Barron, most safeties besides the top 5/6 seem to be interchangeable and I don't want to chase a ghost

If we have to go with Poe, then in the 2nd, we should take a pass rusher like either Irvin or Branch. 3rd, we should go CB. 4th pick... meh.

Poe? I don't get the sense that they're willing to move Rat to DE.

They would if they drafted Poe. They are comparing Poe to Ngata and saying he can line up all over the place.

Do you remember all for the Training Camp talk last year about versatility and creating match-up issues? Poe and Ratliff would definitely be able to line up at different positions.

Well, I remember Jerry saying that the front seven was one of the strengths of the team. Assuming he wasn't lying through his teeth (big if), that would seem to make CB and OL a higher priority than DT.

Poe is going to skyrocket up draft boards, but so is Mississippi State DT Fletcher Cox.

Yep, most mocks have him off the board by #14, and I don't see Jerry trading up in the first round at all.
