I wasn't a big fan of Floyd to begin with. Didn't care much for his college production.

However, what I was annoyed with was the conference with the coaches while on the clock deciding he didn't fit the scheme. Decide that before.

I don't think that would be a reason you don't stack the guy on the board though. To me you pull a guy off completely when he has the off field or drug baggage etc etc, not simply because he doesn't fir the scheme. Its the scouts jobs to rate players, not the coaches (unless you are good at it, like Jimmy was).

Bottomline is this. Fredericks makes our OL much better. I don't think Floyd would have made our DL any better, he's certainly not doing it for the Vikings. So far this preseason, he has only 2 tackles and 1 pass deflection.

You should take scheme into your rankings. Floyd shouldn't have been #5 if he wasn't "quick twitch" enough for the scheme.

Still.....know all of that before you're on the clock.

23. Shariff Floyd, DT, Minnesota VikingsGrade: +3.6 Snaps: 15
Analysis: Floyd looked dominant for the Vikings before a knock to the knee sent him to the sidelines for the rest of the game. In the 15 snaps he was on the field for, he looked quick, powerful and destructive against both the run and the pass.

Really? Because that certainly was not what I saw. Far from it. He was totally unnoticeable until he got injured.
