Dez signed with Jay-Z's sporting agency. Apparently Jerry isn't happy about it and may be reluctant to deal with Roc Nation.

Adam Schefter is reporting it and is being backed by some guy from Yahoo, Rand Getlin; whoever that is. He's citing a source as well.

Tim McMahon reported that Dez wanted to switch agents as soon as this offseason, but was talked out of it by Jerry.

I don't think QB sneak is in the Coryell playbook. Remember when Switzer had to install it himself when he got here?

And yeah, read some tweets and apparently after the game, Dez was talking about his contract and the new agency getting his "branding" where he wanted it. Excellent.

Dez may be taking a page out of Floyd Merriweather's book. He's already doing his own fantasy football thing where he pays out big money to the winner; just like Floyd does.

BTW has Dez ever made good on that jewelry money he owes?

I've just gotta shake my head about this game.

Aikman said a few times how fortune the Cowboys were because their backup QB gets so many practice snaps during the week. And then The Weed proceeds to shit the bed. Hard. The team didn't have much of a chance because of it.

Its really unthinkable. Troy was right, almost nobody's backup has gotten the reps Weeden has to this point unless they were forced to actually play. Weeden has been getting at least 1 full practice every week with all the starters.

And that's not even mentioning all the drops Dez had. That's two bad games in a row for Dez. Asked it last week, but is he thinking about his money? (And on the postgame show there was a rumor that he was late for the game. Huge no-no.)

He definitely hasn't been himself the past two games. He seemed like he took himself out a lot today too, more than I can ever remember.

Troy mentioned it during the broadcast, that perhaps the contract thing is really bothering him now.

This week... 4th and half a yard GL formation --- run the ball --get stuffed. Not suggesting that they should have passed on that play --- not at all, but rather showing how the playcalling is all over the place and has no sense to it.

I still do not get as to why they did not use a QB sneak. When it's half a yard, the QB only has to fall forward and is automatically granted the 1st down in that situation.

As I continue to say.. if it wasn't for stupidity, it'd be sabotage.
The one spot where "Load Left" needed to be faked, and instead they ran it right into the teeth of a 10 man box.

If Dez is really slacking off due to not having a contract, I think that pretty much should tell ALL you fellas he will slack off when he DOES get the big payday.

Can we trade him this offseason, without a contract?

31 other teams got the memo but this staff fails to grasp the concept............

With a big stop for the Cardinals against the Cowboys on that 4th down... Since 2006 (the first season with available data), teams to go for first downs in 4th and 1 situations with a regular rush have achieved the first down 61% of the time, but the teams that have used a QB sneak have converted on nearly 82% of the 4th downs.

I feel like we've been through this before. Not unless you franchise him

Yeah that's right we sure have been..

What in the hell gets in his head to purposely under perform? Is that what this is the last two weeks? How does that increase his value come contract talk time?

Makes me think they didn't even have "QB sneak" on the call cards, since no way do we run that with a hurt Romo in there.

That's what I mean, it seemed like they had the game plan set, for a hurt Romo and just stayed with it when he couldn't go.

Is there any question as to who makes this offense tick?

Best offensive line in football?
Murray?

Nope. It's the QB.

stupid fucking Jerry said Randle's spot on team "not in any jeopardy" and that he'd be on the flight to London

I think it could be argued that had anyone else other than Brandon Weeden played QB for us yesterday, we probably would have won.

You can't look at the final score and make that assumption because the Cards would have adjusted accordingly. I mean, we did lose to the Skins with a back-up QB. Our coaching staff is inept and I think what we can say is that Garrett should give a portion of his pay to Romo because he's the only one keeping Garrett employed.

Why cant I? Weeden WAS that bad.

We scored fewer points and had far fewer yards than the Cards normally give up, what other adjustments were they going to make?

The QB gave up at least 3 on the first pick (and maybe 7, Beasley was wide open over the middle on what would have been an easier throw) then gave them 7 pts late in the game with another horrible pick.

I guess we could have trotted out someone like Brad Johnson or (insert some other massive failure as a backup) but if we would have had someone like Orton we'd have won that game.
