Re: Murray's carries... I wouldn't be surprised if he was hurting out there if not outright injured. He got up pretty slowly once late in the first half IIRC. Wouldn't even be shocked if he had a concussion, or close out there. Might be why he missed some blitz pickups that he usually gets.

But I hate to say this, but that's why you limit his carries, because you don't know when you might need to *really* lean on him. For instance if Weeden had to play a few games.

BTW, ESPN says Tony just has a back contusion. Awesome news if true.

Dont know how the rest of season is going to play out but if Romo is done i would be scouring every nook and cranny for a big back with talent to bring in and compliment Murray the rest of the way. If the OL is the bell cow of this team they need to milk it for all it's worth the rest of the way.

They were crowding the box all night.

Plus hasn't everyone and their mother been raving about how we run no matter the situation?

And if a back is averaging nearly 8 yards a carry, it's a safe bet that he can pick up 3 in 2 chances.

We came out sloppy from the get go. Murray and Randle can't keep putting it on the ground. We gave up 7-10 points because of that and gave them confidence going into halftime.

They need to take a look at the RB coach. Never have we had so many problems fumbling with ALL THREE RBs in a season.

And like I said... he was your first target. And that's predictable.

I am disappointed that he had basically the same thing happen on almost every 3rd down. He's a veteran QB.

With the skill guys and OL talent we have, it shouldn't be that simple to totally derail an offense.

I think it confirmed their defense will be their demise. You can't let Colt McCoy go 25 for 30, I don't see how Luck, Carson, et al don't light this team up going forward

I knew that wouldn't run the table but that performance was pretty discouraging and how they were incapable of handling the blitz is sickening.

Maybe this humble pie will serve them well, time will tell

Lotta dink and dunk plays in there. Gruden called a great game. Garrett bigtime outcoached once again.

Yeah, they already talked about back in week 1 that Murray changed his whole approach to carrying the football this offseason. Can't remember if it was a coaching decision or something Murray decided to do on his own.

But seriously, that shouldn't be such a game impacting decision. 5 fumbles is just terrible.

Yep... and this OL is the best in the league, looks like the 90s OL, etc. Bring in 3 TE and ram it down their throat. Even if his average goes down to 5 YPC, you win the game.

Seriously, how does Murray -still- not been forced to "high and tight" the ball Tiki Barber style? Is old man Coughlin the only one who can make people do that?

And Randle waved it around exactly like Murray does.

that rookie CB was in Dez's jock all fucking game long. hard to exploit blitzes if your best player can't get open.

This. There was no need to get cute. Romo's injured, you lean on Murray. Throw short passes, and just MOVE THE CHAINS.

If Garrett had Emmitt Smith out there in is prime, and he ran for 8 yards, and needed 2 for a first... that asshole would still call a pass play.

I don't want them to make any moves after what I saw tonight.

Just keep the picks, hope Lawrence and a healthier Melton & Crawford can get the pass rush going the 2nd half of the season.

Marinelli needs to just stop it with the zone coverages too.

I think Melton and Crawford are healthy. They just aren't that great or they are sorely needing some kind of pass-rush threat next to them to give them some room to operate.

That was really weird. As much as they were blitzing, Dez should've feasted.

I couldn't help wondering if his head wasn't in the game with his switch of agents and all. Maybe he's thinking about his money?

Your reasons for blaming Romo are what exactly? It's just like you see 5 sacks, and Gruden said something, so it's Romo's fault. We still converted 5 of 12 3rd downs. What about personnel groupings? Do some actual critical thought instead of your usual blame Romo schtick.

Or we could have put Dez in motion to set the edge for the run :)

Melton made some plays tonight and showed more upfield burst than he had in previous games.

Crawford gets in the backfield a ton, he just needs to finish more of those plays.
