The best player in the league doesn't fold when it counts and lose confidence in himself and get nervous on the big stage.. which is why LeBron is NOT the best player in the league. Most ability i'll give you, but not the best.

Also, his play has nothing to do with why people dislike him (although im not even sure that's true anymore if you ask Heat fans after this series ha).

I wouldnt say he folded, Id say a part of his game was taken away by nervousness from media/fan feedback. He had rabbit ears. But he still played good basketball in the series, he just wasnt Lebron James good.

I think to say that he doesnt want it enough if sensationalism. I think he wants it a lot and he overthought things. It can be tough to shoot when you think about it so much. People say he wasnt driving but I think he saw the double/ and triple shading over and moved the ball. Like I said thats his game and what he does best.

I think he will be better as pressure eases next year and they will beat the Nets(w/ Dwight Howard in the ECF) and Thunder in the finals

In crunch time in the finals, he did absolutely nothing. Dirk wanted it, and he came out and played like a star. LeBron came out and absolutely blew it. That's the difference between a player with great ability, and a great player. LeBron is the former, Dirk is the latter.

As a Spurs fan, I still hold a grudge against Cuban for putting out the bounty on Bruce Bowen.

As a Rockets fan, I still hold a grudge against Cuban for crying so much that the officials changed how they called games in the middle of a first round series the Rockets were going to win. Dirk couldn't defend Yao on the pick and roll so Cuban cried until Yao was getting called for an illegal screen that is hardly ever called in the NBA.

I remember that. Yao was killing Dirk. Cuban whined more in that series than he ever has.

Yeah, they were so far away from a title their first year that it'd be ridiculous to think this same group of players can win one in the future.

Tim Donaghy even mentioned the series as being fixed by the NBA after Cuban starting complaining. I don't believe most of what that guy says but I do believe there is a shred of truth in it.

If Howard can hook up with a quality team he will stop Miami from winning.

Yes. The NBA fixed a series to keep those Houston Rockets down.

It isn't about keeping a particular team or down. I don't believe there was a "fix" but it was obvious that the officials changed their calls mid-series. Certain rules in the NBA are not enforced unless they are egregiously broken, this includes traveling, carrying, and moving screens.

You can caw about how close they came in year one as you want, but the Heats weakness was revealed big time in the Finals. They have no bench, and the playoff games slowly took their toll.

Miami 1-3 is probably the best team in the NBA. 4-12 they are below average. In the Finals, Dallas was able to rely on fresh legs like Stevenson and Mahimi, Miami had to pray that the big 3 were on point every night.

LeBron did not get a huge block/charge against Tyson Chandler at the end of one of the games that could have swung the whole series. Donaghy could suck a dick

They need to be lenient on travel calls b/c itd be ugly as hell to call all of it. Thats what the game is now

And you cant tell me anything is slanted when for so many years the lame ass Spurs were winning titles
