Oh, come on. We don't really want Romo back there behind a line consisting of four 1st year starters (when Kosier inevitably goes down) and a 1 year starter, do we? I'm all for getting young across the line, but that's really not the way to do it.
I guess we are going for Luck in the draft next year. We'll need him too. After a year behind this line Romo may never walk again.
I don't subscribe to the Wade Phillips method of building your roster. I'm balls-to-the-wall, Jimmy Johnson style of putting quick, aggressive, young players out there.
Gurode is washed up and was never near as good as advertised .

And yet players and coaches continue to vote him into the probowl. Clearly not as good as advertised.
I mean...I can understand why some wouldn't mind seeing Gurode elsewhere, but you'd better be damn sure of what and who you have across the line, because a mistake in evaluation is going to get Romo killed and yeah, maybe put the Cowboys in line for Luck.
Let me ask you this, when has a veteran line ever worked out for us? Specifically a veteran line featuring Gurode in the lineup?

Pro Bowl is a joke. I don't understand how people use the Pro Bowl in arguments.
That said... Gurode is the least of our worries.
If he's not starting a center, then I want him somewhere on the line.
Seriously, how can you think highly of a center who struggles with the shotgun snap for years??

Let me ask you this, when has a veteran line ever worked out for us? Specifically a veteran line featuring Gurode in the lineup? In fact every combination of the line with Gurode in it has sucked. It's not a coincidence.
The Pro Bowl is a joke. That Gurode keeps getting voted in is due simply to the fact that the C position in the league is so watered down nowadays, and that there aren't very many marketable centers for players and fans to vote for.
Gurode is a C who doesn't make the line calls and struggles in space. The only thing he has going for him is that he can lock horns with Albert Haynesworth.
The offensive rankings the last few yrs suggest otherwise.
