Tron legacy, Limitless, Country Strong all worth watching.

I've tried to catch Tron Legacy on the movie channels but keep missing it. Limitless didn't seem to do well at the box office but I want to give it a go as soon as it hits the movie channels as well. Watching / listening to Gwyneth Paltrow sing " Country Strong" makes me want to flush my eyes with bleach and jab pencils in my ears. Only good thing about that movie that I have heard is she dies in the end.................all is well.

It was good, but I was disappointed that it wasn't at the same level as Band of Brothers. I think it has to do more with the complications of the theater and not the production value of the show.

I agree. I think the big hurdle was that they spent time jumping between units, while BoB stayed with the same guys for 10 episodes. Character development, character development, character development. I will give Pacific the edge in showing the utter brutality of war.

Flags is the weaker of the two. It is choppy, spends so much time flash forwarding and flash backing it gets annoying at times. Still, some solid performances (Adam Beach & Ryan Phillipe in particular), and worth a watch, if anything just as a companion piece to Letters.

The end of Flags is sad as hell.
I watched a Tivo'd episode of Monsters Ball last night.
I thought someone told me the movie was good. I kept waiting for the good part to come. Never did.
Directv had all their movies on free preview this past weekend. You'd think when they did that, they'd play good movies to try and entice people to sign up. They played nothing but crap all weekend - and I was quickly reminded why I haven't had paid movie channels for years.
