Practically nobody cares about gays being gay anymore. It's less like leprosy and more like watching someone ride a unicycle these days. People look at them and are like "oh, ok, where's McDonald's?"

I was talking with a group of people that I used to go to church with recently, baptists I believe(I've never really identified myself as this or that, just Christian or whatever) and the topic(gays)came up as one of the reasons I won't attend church, you know, because of the church preaching against homos.

To my surprise, everyone was in total agreement. Basically that being a gay is no worse a sin than cheating on your taxes, or shit like that.

There are far more greater things going on in this country to worry about. Poverty for one. Who cares if two dudes wanna fuck? It has no bearing on my life. I've actually become really good friends with two guys that are gay. Nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Can't help but just like the guys.

People need to move on. Especially the church. Let them get married, let them do whatever. Wgas?

/end rant

reformed Christians aren't so bad because they just mostly ignore everything in the bible outside of the nice Jesus hippie all you need is love stuff.

Which is really the only worthwhile shit in that dumpsterfire of a book anyhow.

i take ale issue with a lot of the bible.

The only difference between me and you is, I believe there is a God.

I watched a video not too long ago, a Christian talking to a room of people. He was telling a story about someone asking for proof of God. In a nutshell he asked "what percentage of everything do you know?" The person answered "maybe 5%". The Christian fired back "is it possible that god exists somewhere in the 95% that you don't know?"

Call me stupid, but I'm not willing to bet my "eternal life" that he doesn't exist. It's not for everyone , so whatever.

And I think the problem with the church is, they only ignore the things that make life convenient for them. There's a lot of shot that goes on in the church on Sunday that's not supposed to.

If he exists he doesn't give a shit whether you believe in him or not. If he did, and was hinging your eternal prospects on that sort of petty bs, he wouldn't be much of a god. Do you spend any time caring whether or not ants know you exist? Probably not.

I'm always intrigued by how much people who hate homosexuality absolutely cannot get enough of talking about gay sex - particularly between two men.
You, on the other hand, bring it up so much that one would think you absolutely love homosexuality.

This is about what I expected from a chunky Jew.

You got a good point. I am not a fan of religions. Religions are man made. I feel that I can read the Bible and understand how to apply it to my life without the middle man.

Argument from ignorance. If you don’t know something why explain it with something else that can’t be explained? It’s a pretty weak argument.
