The deep threat also had a frustrating day on the field, catching only two passes for 26 yards. Jackson also appeared to have alligator arms on a late pass near the end zone. The Bears are experts at taking away the deep ball, and did a good job roughing Jackson up near the line of scrimmage.

This is how you shut him down. Without that deep route, he has nothing and ergo IS nothing. And even with NOTHING... he's still. the. best. WR. in. the. division. So says a certain individual.

I'd rather have Dez or Miles over DJax, Hicks might be a different story especially compared to Miles I'd go with Hicks

I'd rather have a starting safety that would give our secondary the confidence to not play like shit every week.

At least you are willing to concede on Nicks being the best now

I'm not conceding that. He might be, but I'd probably still go with Jackson.

I could easily see Nicks and Bryant being the top 2 as early as next season.

I'll throw another one at you that's correct. Jeremy Maclin is better than Miles Austin.

True, But, I would rather have a consistent pass rush and run stuffing D-line. that would make the dbs look better then they are. Like in most cases with other teams.

I would love to have Dez and Nicks on the same team, There are your two best WR's in the East.

Actually i was thinking that myself but we'll know for sure once Romo is back...We are so easily to forget how good Romo is at getting the ball to WR's unlike KittyNa lately...Not me.

The East has at least 5, possibly 6, top WRs IMO.

Jackson, Nicks, Bryant, Maclin, Austin. I think Manningham might belong in there too before it's all said and done.

Wouldn't you put Steve smith(giants) in there instead?

I'd go Nicks,Austin,Dez,DJ....DJ is just a deep threat guy, I don't think you could go with him alone as a #1 guy...Nicks,austin,Dez could do it all by themselves...

Jackson can score from anywhere on the field as a receiver, runner or returner.

He's the best weapon in the NFL.

I like Maclin but I wonder how much of his performance is because of Jackson taking double coverage

Notice the skins have no one but an aging injury prone 5'8 WR as their best .... and he might be a 3rd on the rest of the Beast.

Couldnt that be said of Austin and Dez? Austin has a reverse for a TD, a punt return for a TD and several receiving TDs.

I think Dez will be more of a TO type, can go deep or he could take a screen to the house. Hard to tell as hes so young yet....

Not to the extent of DeSean Jackson.

Bryant had a play a little while ago, I think it was against the Giants, where he got ran down from behind in the open field. Jackson scores on that play. He walks in from the 20. Dez didn't have the speed to get there.

I can't remember exactly the situation, but I commented on it in the chatter thread and Sheik responded. So he'll remember what I'm talking about.

They're all threats but none on the level of Jackson. That dude can go 99 yards for a score against any defense in the league.

I do think his size limits him, but not to the tune of what these Cowboys homers are talking about with the deep threat only nonsense. He runs crossing routes. He catches intermediate passes. He's just so dangerous that he usually takes those catches for big yards.

Now I expect that Nicks and Bryant will surpass him just because of durability and overall game. Nicks may already be there, but he's not the special teams threat Jackson is. Bryant is definitely not there. You need to at least know where to line up regularly before you can be the best WR in the division.
