I don't know what's so bad about kicking the tires on a former 1st overall pick in the draft.

I think he sucks too but it's not like I've never been wrong before. Especially at QB.

Russell's problem was with his work ethic. After everything that has happened to him he might be ready to start acting like a grownup.

The timing is what makes it funny.

You bench McNabb because he's fat and out of shape . . . and oh, by the way, we're bringing in a former 300lb QB for a workout.

Well then why not go and kick the tires of Ryan Leaf? He was just one off from being the 1st overall pick.

The funny but sad thing is, they probably could go out and get Russell off from the streets---all 350 lbs. of him now, and in less than a week start him and he would light us up for 4 TDs---in just the first half.

Probably, Garrard isn't exactly slender himself and lit us up for 4 TDs and a 5th one walking.

It's a hollow 3-2 that they have.

I mean, seriously . . . what, as a team, are they good at?

Offense is terrible. Defense is average. Special teams is average.

To this point they've won games because of opponents stupid mistakes or injuries.

That isn't going to hold up. They're an 8-8 team at best by seasons end.

8-8 by seasons end seems about right.

I don't know if they are smarter or better coached. They certainly have gotten the benefit of calls and many no-calls. Teams making mistakes against them does not constitute as them being smarter or better copached, but I understand what you are saying.

They're smarter and better coached. Better owned now too.

Pointing to the officials is laughably weak.

The reason why I picked them to go 7-9 is McNabb gives them the best chance to win right now.

If they continue without him they'll continue to struggle. McNabb can at least scramble out of the pocket and make plays.

What ever became of this?

I haven't heard that they signed him or anyone else for that matter.

You're out of your mind if you think they'll have a better record than us by seasons end.

BTW, I agree with most here on the 7-9 record. Our upcoming schedule is rough, and we can only sneak out so many victories. I wouldn't be surprised if we only won 2 more game all year. That said this was a predicted 8-8 at best team by most of the media, and Redskin fans. I figured if we had a chance to make the playoffs at all it would be our usual sneak in at the end...

Don't show Washington owner Dan Snyder the quarterback rankings, by the way. McNabb's three spots behind Jason Campbell.

I am surprised and happy Jason is doing so well in Oakland, and in retrospect it would have been wiser to keep the picks and JC. But his time was done here, he would have never had the fan bases support...and personally I NEVER wanted to see him play another game for us. It's tough watching your team and hating your QB at the same time. He caused me SO much pain watching him.

I actually thought he would do well in Oakland since he is out of the West Coast offense for once, but not this good. He has a stellar run game to help him. He has shown some clutch ability. Good for him.

I don't mind eating crow.

My homerism would've never allowed me to predict what a trainwreck this season has become.

I also didn't expect to lose Romo . . . but, then again, most of our issues stem from our horrid defense.

I don't see how Redskins fans can embrace McNabb.

If McNabb or Eli Manning came to Dallas . . . I could never cheer for them. I hate them that much.

Hear ya there.

Didn't like when T-blow was in Dallas either. Never cheered for that puke either. Never would I cheer for any player that put on an Egals, Giants, or ESPECIALLY a deadskins jersey before.

Probably because Skins fans have been yearning for an identity at QB since Joe Theisman....someone who can be the face of the organization, who can put the team on their back and lead them to victory...

Sadly...we are still yearning for this.
