Sunday gets crazy and good games can get buried. Thursday nighters all year is perfect.

Plus I like when they can feature mildly interesting teams that arent huge draws. Like the Bucs

Football on any day that isn't Sunday or Monday is fail, imo.

Saturday and Thursday games can go F themselves. International games also.

Another thing, I don't want to turn on NFL Network and see college or highschool football. I want to see NFL shit. Quit F'ing with me.

What if there were always primetime games on Thursday and they took them off and threw them in the Sunday mix?

Youd lose just as much shit

I'll agree with your second statement.

But I'll take NFL Football on Tuesdays if they offered it.

If I can watch a game every night I'd be happy. There is hardly anything worth watching on TV these days. Another hour drama about cops/lawyers/doctors? No thanks. Another sitcom where the wife is always right and the husband is an idiot? No thanks.

Now thats just silly.

It just kills the essence of "crazy shit went down today, Im scrambling to find out what it all means"

I don't really care to watch much football outside of Cowboy games. For the avid fan of the league as a whole, I can see where it makes more sense. I understand I'm probably in the minority. I just like having my Sunday's and the occasional Monday night to myself to watch my team.

I can't stand having to set aside a Thursday night to watch my team, only to be holding my dick in my hand on Sunday trying to find something to do.

Again, it makes sense if you like watching other games.

I recently gave up golf, so that's one less thing to do on Sunday when my team blew it's load on Thursday or Saturday.

And I'm trying to stay away from the track.

I need a friend.

I dont see how someone can only like the Cowboys, but not like the NFL as a whole.

That seems like something a foreigner would do

Meh, I just don't like the league as much as I used to. Too many rule changes and watered down talent across the board.

That sounds like something an old person would say.

Athletes are getting more athletic and the population is sky rocketing. The talent is way better than in years past

Bigger/stronger/faster. I get it. I just don't think you have as many football players as you used to. By no means do I consider myself a "purist", I just can't get with the league like I used to.

Like I said, rule changes have taken so much away from the game, imo. Rules are slanted in the offenses favor to promote more scoring. I don't like that shit. I enjoy a 9-6 game just as much as a 28-35 game. You just don't see that anymore.

I think the rules have a lot to do with the perception of watered down talent. When you start limiting what a guy can do without getting fined or suspended, I don't really care to waste my time watching it.

The NFL isn't anywhere near the game it was 10-15 years ago. IMO, it's only going to continue to get worse.

It's still 1,000 times better than soccer.

I like football better than soccer as well. The only reason I would pick soccer over football is if I had tickets to the game (or if the Boys give 21 points to the Rams in the first quarter... I'm not sitting around watching that shit). I like soccer mostly because I like just about all sports. I watch the NCAA track and field championships, the Tour de France, and some other low key events each year because I like sports. My wife thought I was nuts a few months ago when I started watching an Aussie Rules football match and fired up the laptop so I could figure out what the hell was going on.

I'm not going to hate soccer simply because it isn't American, it is a great sport if you can get interested in it. I don't have the same passion for it that I do for football, but I feel the same way about the NBA and MLB.

But clearly bringing in Deion was right. It led to another Championship.

Right-O. Signing Deion led to the 1995 Super Bowl win.

I trust we'll never have to listen to you rabble on how Jerry gets no credit for that Lomboardi. Afterall, Jerry was adament about signing the one guy who brought it to us. We couldn't have won without him.

Very well.

And Stephen Jones was against it. I just find it odd that people would point to that as a positive.

The fact that Stephen was against signing a single player to such a ridiculous contract is the positive.

It shows Stephen is more level-headed and less ego-centric than his father.
