All info on Sterling leads to him being a giant douchebag. Even beyond being a discriminatory racist, he's a shady lawyer who would fire head coaches and then force them to take him to court if they wanted to be paid the remaining salary on their contracts. Not a single person can really defend Sterling's character at this point. Even then, he was able to get a widely respected coach in Doc Rivers to come work for him. Other than the Baylor lawsuit, you also rarely hear anyone associated with NBA truly chastise Sterling in public, and he's essentially the real life plantation owner from Django Unchained.
This is why I laugh when idiots like Hos try to defend Jerry by saying that his old employees have nothing bad to say about him. That's not really how professional sports works at all. If a racist slumlord like Sterling was able to get revered coaches and free agents to come work under him, then true idiots like Jason Garrett and Jerry will also always be painted in a somewhat positive light so long as they have any position of power. That's really just the way things work.
Garrett in particular has terrorized this team for years now. He will go down as the one of the worst coaches of all time once he's finally fired. The Sterling situation shows that people will continue to bite their tongue until that day happens.
