Would make an awesome OC for Tony...

But McNair said he definitely wants an experienced, proven former NFL head coach. Might take Lovie or Chuckie off the market. :suicide

McNair did admit Lovie was the kinda guy he had in mind, but I'm with you, I would guess he would want an offensive guy. That's why I fear Chuckie is who he has in mind.

Not having a QB might be a big negative for a so-called offensive guru, but then again I guess they're in line to draft almost anyone they want.

I'm more worried about my boy Sumlin taking this job over the USC stuff. Hopefully this proven head coach stuff isn't just a smoke screen.

First thing I thought is that they have a 1 month head start on us in luring Gruden there.

Like the Cowboys, the Texans are a culture change and a few players away from being really good.

Yeah, it could be a smokescreen or he could change his mind once he starts interviewing people. Some of these college guys are really impressive.

I bet Sumlin stays though. He's in a good spot there.

I wonder about Briles though.

I'm just worried about Jason Garrett keeping his job. He deserves another year.

It's a process.

If they want a head coach with experience, Jason Garrett has like 4 years of experience and the relocation costs would be really low.

Just sayin...

Good thinking Mid.

Just don't let Garrett's media moles read that. They'll float the rumor and Jerry will give him a 5 year 50 mil extension to keep him from getting away.

they couldn't let him finish out the year? it's not like Wade is the future and they want to get a good look at him.

Not sure that is a big deal for Chucky. He never had a true stud at QB. Rich Gannon was a JAG until he teamed with him and Brad Johnson was never more than a bus driver.

Wade Phillips was such an accomplished head coach before he came to Dallas. I still cant believe it didn't work out.

That's embarrassing to be fired after you have a stroke in front of everyone several games before.

He had some bad luck with injuries the last couple seasons otherwise his team may have gone to a Super Bowl or two. This season is just a disaster and the team is done.
