And who you bang in the privacy of your own home. It's amazing how many clowns have hopped this bandwagon in the hopes they'll seem progressive or tolerant.

MoveOn.org has started a petition to get ESPN reporter Chris Broussard immediately suspended from the network for comments he made regarding Jason Collins's homosexuality, which Broussard said was a sin according to his personal Christian beliefs. The group said Broussard was engaging in "gay bashing."

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Sports/2013/05/01/Move-On-Petition-Calls-On-ESPN-To-Immediately-Suspend-Broussard

His comments:

I’d like to second what LZ said. “I’m a Christian. I don’t agree with homosexuality. I think it’s a sin, as I think all sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is. [ESPN's] L.Z. [Granderson] knows that. He and I have played on basketball teams together for several years. We’ve gone out, had lunch together, we’ve had good conversations, good laughs together. He knows where I stand and I know where he stands. I don’t criticize him, he doesn’t criticize me, and call me a bigot, call me ignorant, call me intolerant.

In talking to some people around the league, there’s a lot Christians in the NBA and just because they disagree with that lifestyle, they don’t want to be called bigoted and intolerant and things like that. That’s what LZ was getting at. Just like I may tolerate someone whose lifestyle I disagree with, he can tolerate my beliefs. He disagrees with my beliefs and my lifestyle but true tolerance and acceptance is being able to handle that as mature adults and not criticize each other and call each other names…

Yeah, let's lynch the man. :censored

Hell, even if you try to remain neutral you're a target for these animals.

CHICAGO TRIBUNE WRITER: BEARS PLAYER MUST 'EXPLAIN' POSITION ON JASON COLLINS

In a Tuesday column, Rosenbloom publicly "outed" Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs for having the gall to not express an opinion on the Collins episode. Apparently, a number of Briggs' Twitter followers peppered the football player on the issue and in response Briggs (or whoever handles his Twitter feed) responded with non-responses such as, "How about those Bulls!!"

“Personally, I don’t believe that you can live an openly homosexual lifestyle or an openly premarital sex between heterosexuals, if you’re openly living that type of lifestyle, then the Bible says you know them by their fruits, it says that’s a sin. If you’re openly living in unrepentant sin, whatever it may be, not just homosexuality, adultery, fornication, premarital sex between heterosexuals, whatever it may be, I believe that’s walking in open rebellion to God and to Jesus Christ. I would not characterize that person as a Christian because I do not think the Bible would characterize them as a Christian.”

what a fucking idiot

at least he stopped short of calling him a cornball brotha he'd have lost his job for sure

no if you're a bigot you get labelled as a bigot.

Don't try to hide bigotry behind the mask of Christianity. Plenty of Christians manage to be fine with queers. Hell plenty of queers ARE Christian. But there are unfortunately tons of Christians who just use their religion, and a few select passages of biblical hopscotch to discriminate against a class of people who they don't understand and think are icky. Those people are bigots.

It's sort of retarded to act like the guy is a bigot, as he expressed himself to a homo who didn't have anything near like the reaction of the people pretending to be indignant.

I think we can all see who the real bigot on this board is. Your bashing of Christians is well documented.

Bigot - a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially one who regards or treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance

I don't think treating bigots with contempt qualifies me. It's deserved.

Seeing that you are a bigot and bigots are to be treated with disgust I am beginning to understand some of your self-loathing characteristics.

SP labels us bigots...Is there a muslim here in DCU?
Ask muslims how they feel about homosexuals.
Then ask SP how he feels about muslims.

I don't think he's a bigot but I don't necessarily think they should let him go on there and tell other people they aren't Christian or whatever because they don't believe strictly what he does. State your position and be done with it. People should be able to identify how they want without someone trying to revoke their membership card.

I'm also not sure why he's focused on "openly" being gay or "openly" having premarital sex. What does it really matter either way if you come out with or if you don't. Presumably God wouldn't be thrown off by such a coverup. You can be a gay Christian but don't tell anyone you are gay because once we know, then you're not a Christian anymore?

I think he handled it a pretty respectable manner other than he basically put himself in the driver's seat regarding who gets to be a Christian or not. I do care that this kind of stuff influences policy in that people come out and champion their book to support or cut the legs out from underneath legislation and the more you hear people ranting and raving about their particular beliefs the more the lines blur of when it is acceptable to do so. In the legislative process, it shouldn't be there. If that wasn't the case then I wouldn't have an issue with what he said at all.

You're only allowed to have one reaction to this news: gushingly positive. Anything short of that and you're a hater or bigot.

That reads kind of wierd. They shouldn't let him define his view of Chrsitianity? Why not? It is doctrinally correct and if it weren't, he'd still be within his right to express his view on it. Did Collins claim to be a Christian?

He's focusing on the openess because of the infuence it will have on others. It's no surprise people who claim to be Christian do not read the bible and an unlearned Christian will have a distorted view of what Christianity is. Jesus had some harsh words for people who knowingly distort his message.

You can't continue to be any kind of flagrant sinner, let alone a homosexual and rightly call yourself Christian. God hasn't changed his mind. You, generally speaking, are free to be whatever you want, but if you're flaunting how you have sex as a lifestyle, you are not in any way shape or form a Christian.
