They have now determined that the teacher, who has not been identified, propped the door open with a rock, but then removed the rock and closed the door when she realized there was a shooter on campus, said Travis Considine, chief communications officer for the Texas Department of Public Safety. But, Considine said, the door that was designed to lock when shut did not lock.

“We did verify she closed the door. The door did not lock. We know that much and now investigators are looking into why it did not lock,” Considine said.

What I find interesting in all these mass casualty incidents is how little detail we're given about the shooter/killer. We still don't know the motive of the Las Vegas shooter and that's kind of surprising in today's day and age where law enforcement has access to everyone's computer and social media.

These are strictly used today to promote a political agenda which is why we hear nothing of the shootings in Chicago and other cities over the weekend. The sad part is that most of our young people are not savvy or smart enough to look deeper at these societal issues and just buy the narrative the left is giving them without any critical thought whatsoever.

Yes, I am still waiting for the Govt. to give detailed information about the black shooter, who shot up Downtown Dallas on July 7, 2016, when Dallas has both a black Mayor and a black Police Chief at the time... They executed search warrants to look at all of the shooter's computer and media, etc.

Where is the report?? What are the finding??? Is what they found Classified???

Texas officials had said a teacher propped door open at Robb Elementary just before a gunman entered and carried out a mass shooting — but they now acknowledge that the woman closed the door.

She has said, through her lawyer, that she pulled the door to close it after kicking the rock away that was holding the door open. The DPS says that she slammed the door closed. And NPR says she closed the door. Words matter.

Maybe these doors are designed to close and properly lock, when they have been opened enough for someone to walk through, and that swinging back motion locks the door.

Bu maybe it's a different story, if the door is proper open by the width of a rock, and then pulled to, after the rock is kicked aside??? Tests can be run independently to verify if this could be an issue, or not. IF it is an issue, then the Govt. needs to put out a warning to all schools that use doors like this, with instructions on how to properly close the door to lock it, after it has been propped open, EVEN IF PROPPING THE DOOR OPEN IS AGAINST SCHOOL REGULATIONS.

Whenever the left brings up the question of need, I cringe. Need is not a prerequisite for gun ownership according to the constitution, other than the need to defend freedom.

There are many things in life where we have excesses we do not need. You do not need a car that can go over 100 MPH because nowhere in the US is the speed limit that high. We know speeding can kill, and has many times, but we do not ban cars that go that fast or allow car manufacturers to be sued for making cars that go that fast.

No one needs to eat more than 2000 calories per day. and we know that eating excessively can result in obesity and early death. We do not prohibit eating more than we need.

Freedom mean doing things because we want to, we find enjoyment in them. Need has nothing to do with it.

You need a gun like an AR-15 because the guy trying to kill you may have a weapon of his own, and since you want to make sure you survive, you want to have a better weapon when you need one.

In case anyone is wondering, the objective here is two-fold. First, Democrats have successfully changed the subject from inflation and record high gas prices to "mass shootings". It is important to note that most of these mass shootings are related to gang violence or personal feuds. These occur all the time but now we are lumping them together with the lone nut shootings to keep the focus on guns. The media will publicize every one of these incidents to give the impression this is all different than before. Of course, there will be no cameras in Chicago.

While congress argues about assault rifles, most of these mass shootings are with hand guns.

The second objective is to create fear. Fear works. It worked with COVID. Convince people they are all going to die and they will give up their freedoms willingly. Democrats want you afraid. They want you to think your kids are in danger just by going to school. Fearful voters are easy to manipulate.
