So we use a 1st roudner on the secondary again. GREAT. This team would have fucking been done maybe one at least one championship IF Jerry dedicated as much to the OL as he does the secondary.

Holy shit that is the least impressive "highlight" video I think I've ever seen. Ever.
Watching live games it was the same. Every week they'd talk about how he was the star of their secondary, then he'd never do a thing.

no reason we cant go into the draft thinking we can get a Safety in the 2nd round. The Safety depth is really good for the first time in a long time. We may have to trade up in the 2nd (or trade down in the 1st) but there should be 4 or 5 Safeties taken in the (very late)1st and 2nd rounds.

Its really pretty simple. We'll sign a free agent and probably draft another guy. There will be at least two new starters on the OL this year IMO.

A week ago I would have agreed with you.

Then Jerry came out with his magic Romo comments, then we restructured Livings and Bernadeau, extended Costa, and didn't touch Free. Now I'm woried last year's line is this year's line with "awesome depth" from Ryan Cook and Jermey Parnell.

Suck on it Cowboy fans who have any hope left!

I hope you are wrong. I bet Romo and Murray do as well.

Honestly if we just replace Free and find dedicate tons of resources to the defense I'll be ecstatic.

If you get QB play at Romo's level, you are almost guaranteed to make the playoffs.

UNLESS

You allow the other team to be effective passing the ball. I went back a few months ago and listed every QB who has posted a QBR for the season at Romo's level and whether or not their team made the playoffs. They almost entirely did - unless their team was also ranked near the bottom of the league in QBR allowed.

If we want to win, the effectiveness of our pass defense has WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more to do with it than whether or not our Oline is competent. That should be almost our entire focus. Romo's entire time in the league I think we've been top 10 once. All we did then was grab the 1 seed.

Agree with that. Romo gives us a chance regardless of crappy O Line play. Deadbeats like Sensabaugh and McCray not covering anyone will cost you way too many games.

I still want O Line but improved Safety play and more of a pass rush is probably the quickest way back to the playoffs.

Agree to an extent, although if they improve the OL enough Romo and the offense would be close to unstoppable (assuming they stay healthy), especially if Murray has room to run.

Maybe. Garrett still might be the playcaller.
