Gerry Fraley, writer for The Dallas Morning News and SportsDayDFW.com, answered your Cowboys and Rangers questions in a chat Tuesday. Here are some highlights from the chat:

On if one of Bill Cowher, John Fox, or Jon Gruden will be the Cowboys' next coach ...

Fraley: Fox is the most likely candidate of that group. Good coach.

On the Cowboys' decision to go conservative and run twice with Marion Barber in the red zone in the second drive of Monday's game against the Giants.

Fraley: Coughlin said that was the turning point of the game for him. Giving the ball to Marion Barber in that situation is like conceding.

On if Marion Barber getting just four carries is a sign of things to come ...

Fraley: Should be. He's been terrible for more than a year. Nothing there.

On Igor Olshansky's celebration down 18 in the fourth quarter against the Giants ...

Fraley: His behavior was odd last night. I'd keep a low profile if I were on that defense.

More on the Olshansky ...

Brain-dead. No sense of the situation.

I agree 100%.

I can't wait until the MBIII era is over.

It's like Eddie George all over again.

Great, so they are going to fire someone who has proven to be a failure, just to hire another failure. Maybe.

This is stupid.

NEW BLOOD, NEW BLOOD.

I've liked Fox, I think he gets got alot out of them considering the talent they have. I like that he likes to be physical on both sides of the ball, and he did nearly coach Carolina to a mammoth upset of New England in the Super Bowl. People who think he's too conservative, you'd be conservative too if you had no talent QB's or a guy thats turnover prone (DelHomme)

Not saying he's my #1 choice, but worse things could happen.

Agreed. We could certainly do worse.

So the guy sucks in Carolina but he'll come here and be a good coach?

Retreads do the exact same thing they did before 99.9% of the time .

I'm not so sure because we are a more talented team than Carolina. He'd have better success, he's not a bad coach at all.

He wouldn't be one of my choices but he wouldn't be a bad coach here either.

Fox inhereted a 1-15 Panthers team, and took them to the Super Bowl two years later.

He had the Panthers in the NFC title game again in 2005.

In 2008, they were dominant until Delhomme threw 64 interceptions in a playoff game to the Super Bowl bound Cardinals.

He's struggled this year, on account of horrid QB play.

But to say he's a bad coach is just wrong.

Define sucks?

He has had a super bowl team that almost won it all, got to the NFC Champ another season and had HFA in a 3rd yr. He's never had a "bad" season (until this yr, and that team clearly is lacking in talent almost everywhere)

I dont think he's Jimmy Johnson or Bill Belichick etc etc, but I do think he's done a pretty good job there considering the talent he's had over the years.
