Must be nice to argue both sides.

He shouldn't be the MVP cause he hasn't thrown the ball enough. But I said he should be in the conversation, and I won't object if he does win it.

That's exactly what you're doing though. You're objecting to him winning the MVP because he hasn't thrown the ball enough.

So you asked the question, what is the criteria to be the MVP... I guess there's a certain number of passes you have to throw to be an MVP QB? Because for some reason, you don't think the highest rated passer, with the highest completion percentage, and the highest YPA, with an 8-0 record on the road, when he's only thrown 2 INTs on the road, shouldn't win the MVP... So how many attempts did he need to have? He has 401 to Rodgers 498. How many more did he need to get the MVP in your book?

By the way... the "passing attempts cut in half" point... Are you saying he threw it 800 times last year, or are you trolling by using hyperbole?

That's not what I've said at all. I've said his greatly reduced role is not a good argument for a MVP award.

Ok, 25 percent less than last year. Better?

Face it, Pep. They took the ball out of Romo's hand. They didn't implement a running game, they reduced Tony's role by like 6 throws a game.

Deal with it.

No, they sure didn't. Because they already had one, just refused to actually use it. Now, they use it. And everyone benefits, including the defense.

Lol it takes a real idiot to argue against what Tony Romo has accomplished this season... Not surprised it's Doomsday.

Nobody is. I am saying it's not a surprise either way if he gets the MVP award, or not.

I could see that. It's gonna be tough for Romo to take it from Rodgers anyway.. He's the NFL's darling. Along with Watt.

If people were thinking straight though, Romo would probably win it comfortably. He's had a season that's been superior to Rodgers statistically and in the games he missed or wasn't 100%, we lost and looked bad. Rodgers team made the playoffs last yr without him for a lot of games.

Apparently Romo has clinched the leagues passer rating title, congrats to him.

First time a Cowboy QB has done it since 78 & 79 when Staubach did it

No one is making that argument... except you, and you're arguing both sides.

Now... with updated stats from nfl.com... Romo has 435 attempts in 2013 down from 535 in 2013. 19% fewer... That's 6.25 less throws per game. So glad we're taking the ball out of his hands.

Orrrrrr.... maybe it makes sense not to force a 34 yr old QB with a bad back to carry the team like they've done for the past 5+ years.

Same amount of games in both seasons?

Orrrrrr.... Maybe it makes sense to let your star RB who's always averaged at least 4 yards a pop, to vastly increase his touches? That qualifies! The RB, that is.

Murry actually has a better case for league MVP.

Romo still has that stigma attached to him regardless of what his stats looked like this year.

Fair or not until he makes a successful post season run I think a majority of the voters won't give him top consideration year to year.

Yes... 15 games started each year. Actually Romo went out of the Washington game for about a half. So if you want to get technical, he probably played more last year.

And since you brought it up, he had 123 fewer yards passing this season... even when he threw the ball 100 more times, he didn't have significantly higher yardage numbers.

I'm not getting in to who has the better case, because it's a totally subjective argument that lends itself to particular agendas... and we all know your agenda.

But yes, it makes sense to increase the touches to the RB when he's successful... especially when you have a subpar defense. Running the game helps out the passing game... which we've seen. At the same time, having a QB who is a threat to beat you, with skill guys on the outside who are threats downfield, open up the run game. DeMarco Murray had to run the ball without Romo this season and it was his first game of the year where he didn't hit 100 yards.
