Of course, almost lost in all this is the news coming out that the dead guy was easily identifiable, being 6-4, 300lbs and wearing a red ballcap, and had just done a strong arm robbery and roughed up a old man at a local c-store. Video of the robbery is out now.

So by Cobra's logic, the cop sees this guy matching the description of the robber, and shouldn't then confront that robber because that is "targeting."

No telling really when but around noon seems to be the reported shooting and the guy leaves the store at 11:54.

Cop was very near the area giving escort to a ambulance, when the robbery call came over the radio. He proceeded to the store and saw the perp en route.

Report is, he stopped to question the perp, the perp started a physical altercation that involved shoving the officer into the backseat of the patrol car and trying to take his gun.

The one "witness" who was saying the cop shot him first through the window, and that the perp was just walking along minding his own business, is the accomplice shown in the robbery video. Imagine that.
