dbair is such a useless fucking homer. You do realize they just beat Atlanta, Green Bay, San Francisco, and New England in 4 straight games? That is not mediocre and pretending the league is mediocre because you hate the team that won is just you being a complete dumbass. The Giants were better than us this year and proved it by winning head to head against us twice. The only reason we were in position to possibly win the division was because they had New Orleans and Green Bay on the schedule while we played Detroit and St Louis. You pretend the Giants were in the midst of another late season collapse when it was just a really hard stretch of schedule playing San Francisco, Philly, New Orleans, and Green Bay in 4 straight games.

I don't think the Giants are the best team in the NFL, but they are the best team right now and they are far better than we are.

What a douche bag.

Some of these "holes" might be filled from within. Hopefully at least one of the young OL (Kowalski or Arkin) fills one interior OL spot, hitting on both would be great but you would hope one for sure. I dont think both DE spots are "holes" as Jason Hatcher had a pretty good year. Kenyon Coleman definitely needs to be replaced, its possible Ratliff or Lissemore moves into the other DE spot. I think we have two of the top three CB spots filled within Jenkins and Scandrick. Also, the defensive side of the ball could be greatly upgraded by signing a DE like Mario Williams and moving to more of a 4-3 defense. You'd have two all pro calibar DE's in Ware and Williams, a probowl DT in Jay Ratliff, a potential probowl MLB in Sean Lee and Bruce Carter then gets to move back to his natural weak OLB spot. They'd need to find a strong OLB but you could do that with a lower tier free agent or maybe even a middle round draft pick.

Maybe Melvin Ingram in the 1st.

Mario Williams-Rat-Lissemore-Ware

Melvin Ingram-Lee-Carter

That is a nice front 7. As I mentioned in another thread, we'd have a deep Dline rotation if we draft another DE in the mid-rounds to add to Victor Butler. Then having Hatcher and Brent coming off the bench to replace the starting DTs.

I can't see Ingram as a 4-3 OLB. DE definitely, DT yes.

If we were going LB (and going to a 4-3) we could look at Luke Kuechly. Another 4-3 OLB I like is Zach Brown who may be the fastest linebacker I have ever seen.

If anything, a mediocre team like the NYG winning it all should give everyone cause for optimism. Clearly the league is mediocre now.

The Giants because the first team to ever win a Super Bowl with less than 10 wins, and they were the first team to ever play in a conference championship despite giving up more pts than they scored. Then won it all.

I said it two weeks ago, wont surprise me at all if 2 of the 4 teams in the conference championships dont even make the playoffs next year.

Yep that is what Jerrah is thinking too.

I'm actually already whatever about it. Having crazy shit going on distracts you I guess.

I'm just offended At this Eli shit

It doesnt offend me as a jew, it offends me as a person w/ eyes.

I think he's very comparable to romo and maybe better based on durability. But I can't give him much more than that based on what I'm seeing. Dropped interceptions, backup returners going full ******, 99 yard catch and runs, miles Austin going rogue, makes you lucky. I'm sorry. I can't look past that just like I can't forget bradys receivers dropping passes. Brady was great in that game. I don't care if Its an L, he did what he do. He was great

And I'm not looking at romos playoff record as only on him since I've never seen our team really ready in any of those losses.

Very well said.

Eli's one of the only QBs that can hang with Romo in 4th Q performance. But Romo kills him in the first three. The difference in Eli having two rings and Romo having none is not about QB play or clutchness and I wanted to barf hearing Collinsworth going on about Eli.

Nope. I can't think of any 6'2", 275'ish 4-3 OLB's. He's pretty athletic but I just don't see him playing there.

What do you think about a couple of undersized, but speedy LBs such as FSU's Nigel Bradham and Miami's Sean Spence?

Think Bruce Carter should be our strong-side OLB if we move to a 4-3?

And I've never really been unfair w/ Eli. Even a year or so ago when he was turning it over literally 30 times in a season I thought he was an acceptable NFL QB.

If dashon Goldson let's his guys pick Thoose passes off Is the throw suddenly a bad one? No, it always was. And if ted ginn played the 49ers play in the SB. That had nothing to do w/ Eli just got some luck, good for him I guess. But it doesn't make you a more talented player, it just makes you more accomplished.

Peyton is jealous of what you have but he doesn't wish he had your skills.

Just like I never really put Ben above romo, brees, rivers:)/) etc.

If I'm drafting them I probably take Eli Over romo w/ the durability tie-breaker but both well after rodgers. cut this clutch shit out. no good qb's get stopped on do or die drives anymore

you guys are idiots

what you dont see is that Eli Manning has arguably the greatest pocket presence of any QB that has ever played the game..he throws the ball as well as you will ever see with a rusher running at him, ready to drill the shit out of him..do bounces go his way? absolutely, but dont discredit the guy..romos biggest mistakes are when he forces balls when rushers are coming directly at him..(when he throws the ball, not when he DODGES the defender), this is Elis greatest strength

Listen fuckface.

Eli 129 picks in 121 games
Romo 77 picks in 71 games

Eli has a little bit of everything and I'd take him but don't act like he personally has separated from romo

Did he not get a lead on the giants and pats?

The team needs to get his level
