CZers are seriously turning the other cheek now about Brent? What if he killed Witten or Ware?

I wonder where those homers draw the line. Could Garrett roll to Fuzzy's house and ginger rape his wife? Would that be cool as long as they beat the Texans? I'm sure she'd enjoy it regardless.

No, it isn't good for any team. It's a different climate now and there should be some consistency. As bad as what Ray Rice did was, it wasn't worse than killing a person. Why are the Ravens basically forced to say Rice will never play for us again but we let this guy back?

Well at first they didn't, remember?

Josh Brent did a horrible thing, it was a horrible mistake. But the precedent has been set to allow people to make mistakes and come back. Ray Rice will eventually be back with somebody.

That said, I still think a man hitting a woman makes someone the pure slime of humanity.

It's a valid point. If a Dallas player was at fault in an accident and maimed you so you could no longer do you job as a fluffer then wouldn't you want him to make money to pay for all your shit?
