Heartbreaking loss, but we're still in a good position as far as W/L and divisional record.

We got the Saints next, who might be without Brees. Then the Patriots followed by a bye.

Need to split those games, with the Saints being the obvious easier win.

You're the coach, and with your post count you're probably better prepared to coach than Garrett. But I digress... you're the coach, what do you do this week to improve the team?

They had a good game plan today and for a half executed it really well. Just do more of the same next week.

The lack of pass rush is killing us, but if Brees doesn't play next week McCown isn't Ryan and they don't have any players like Julio Jones to contend with.

I think we'll win next week, then defensive help starts coming back.

Pray.

Better hope they win next week cause starting 2-0 and ending up 2-3 into the bye is not good.

Cassel needs to start next week. If Weeden is that handicapped, get him out of there.

25 unanswered points.

Soft defense and do-nothing coaching. Fucking pussies.

How the fuck do you run an Air Coryell offense, when the QB is afraid to throw downfield, and you have a weak-ass running game?

Fucking Mariota was way more aggressive in his first NFL start than Weeden was today. Weeden is a veteran QB with a strong arm and several NFL starts under his belt yet they tried to protect him like he was a skittish rookie.

Most of us knew we would lose today so I'm not gonna hit the panic button but we do need to tweak a few things.

I felt the major problem areas we had today aside from the obvious injuries were lack of reliable receivers and not enough bodies on the dline.

If Street and Lucky aren't going to have an impact during the game whether it be offense or special teams than why are they on the roster? Instead of dressing Whitehead we could be seeing what we have in Christine Michael.

Anyway, I'm cutting Whitehead. Signing either Hakeem Nicks or Reggie Wayne. They would serve us much better with a guy like Weeden at QB. Devin Street is pointless and wasting a roster spot as well. I'd consider signing Trindon Holiday to return kicks and cutting Street. We need our backup wideouts contributing to special teams. I love Bease but he looks awkward on returns.

I'd sign Darnell Dockett, former Cardinal, for depth on the dline. Marinelli does wonders for this team and as great as he is his biggest weakness is sticking with his guys. But we need some legit talent right now not just a bunch of try-hards. A vet that knows what he's doing. Dockett, in a limited role, could be exactly what this defense needs for now.

I'd activate Michael to the game day roster too. Our guys are doing a decent job but we need a physical running back. Unfortunately I don't think it will change much if we don't start taking some shots downfield to loosen up the D. We need to see what Butler brings to the table.

Get Cassell ready ASAP. Kellen Moore go back to PS.

Also, ultilize the TEs more. Copy plays from the Pats back when they had both Gronk and Hernandez if we have to. Whatever the case just use them or get rid of the 4th TE.

Preach turnovers through practice. This defense needs more. Gotta bail this offense out from time to time.

Darnell Dockett is a shell of himself. The 9'ers gave him two million guaranteed, and cut him anyways. He's toast. Just a recognizable name at this point.

I'd release Weeden. Play Cassell next week. Kellen Moore can be the back up.

I'd activate Michaels and give him some carries. Put him in the backfield behind this offensive line and pound the ball. Play action heavy offense. Have Dunbar in the backfield with him (for my fantasy team) and put him in motion or give him carries as a change of pace back.

I'd go two TE offense. Maybe even three. Slow games down. Get blocking up front and deploy the TEs in the passing game.

On defense I'd blitz. The longer we're on the field, the more they get exposed. So I'd take chances and try to make opponent QB's as uncomfortable as possible.

Are we officially at the point where people stop pretending that Barry Church is worth a crap out there?

The 49ers saved $3.25 MIL when they cut him and also can get up to $2 MIL back if he signs with another team. Seems like a reasonable move for a guy who was going to be a backup to their 2015 first rounder, a guy who only played 16 preseason snaps due to injury, and one who disagreed with the head coach's in-house rules pertaining to social media.

And yeah Midtwat, I was hoping I didn't have to state the obvious, but yeah at 34 years old and coming off of an ACL injury that sidelined him in 2014, he isn't going to be the perennial pro bowler that he once was.

That's why I said in a limited role. For depth. For his vet experience.

But really, if you could find another vet after week 3 of the season that could be a better option than I'm all for it. Because after today, I'm surprised anyone who watched the game would disagree with adding a vet to this dline rotation.

I've seen enough now, of Weeden. If you don't trust him enough to open up the playbook and play your offense, what's the point of having him there? That interception was just a bonehead play, no way to argue not.

Yeah, there's no Dez and all that, but you didn't see this fact bother Romo all that much. My question is, if you never did open up the playbook and let Weeden actually play in this offense, how do you know he can't do it? But the answer is, for whatever reason you DO know, therefore why again is he here? Either shit or get off the pot. Getting off the pot means, bench Weeden.

The other main thing that is missing in Dallas and has been for many years is the two things called imagination and innovation. When you have a Dez go down, then a Romo, you need a fucking answer that is creative and original. That is way too much to ask of this bunch of dullards we have coaching in Dallas.

We're looking at 2-3 at the bye if there's no answers. You can't field this team the way it is and the way you're playcalling it, and expect to beat half decent teams.

Two of the most important positions on the team: QB and safety. And Jerry woefully neglects them, thinking he can put UDFAs to fill them.

We have too many try hards that would be fine as backups, but should not be starters.
